   This is an image I captured from HP's newsletter that was sent out today. Is it true that there are some mistakes in it? Or am I mistaken? I am puzzled.

   Yes, Misbah, you are correct. I saw one mistake as soon as I read it.
   3. Recieve….recieve (both the same) but the correct spelling is “receive.”

   Publicity is a correct word…the other is supposedly how people often incorrectly spell it but I have never seen it used that way.

      Exactly, I have never seen someone using any other spellings for Publicity. Maybe they made a mistake and wanted to give an example of Publically and Publicly. I believe, publically is nonstandard. It is common, but not considered correct: The proper form is publicly. But when I put both spellings in Grammarly it considers both spellings as correct. So what's the error in the last word? Just wondering.....

         Publicity and publicly are two entirely different words. HP spelled publicly wrong in addition to receive.
         
         I noticed that, too, when I read the newsletter. I wonder who proofed/edited the newsletter before hitting the Send button?!

   I've read that publically is a variant of publicly (at least in British English), but the second term is said to be the more common way to spell the word.

      Yes, exactly. The HP newsletter says that the Oxford dictionary did some research and compiled a list of the top 10 most misspelled words. So this is what the actual list says:

   Shauna. It doesn't matter how many times a piece of text about spelling is proofread because of the activity of a gremlin. It's installed on every computer, or in my earlier days, an Underwood typewriter. It has a single purpose in life and that is to sabotage any writing about spelling.
   
   It sits in the machinery silently waiting, sometimes for years, until it detects that someone is writing about spelling. Then, it goes to work and switches the connection between certain keys and what appears on the page. But, the devilish thing is that it conceals the changed letters from the writer so that the typos pass undetected.
   
   I speak from bitter experience. Never, ever write about pellig.
