      Hi Peggy!
I loved your presentation of the Vintage Cheese Torte recipe. I can imagine the taste, and I can understand, why it’s good for the kids, who are teething.
The hand written recipes from yesteryears, gives a feeling of nostalgia.
I have several of those written by my mother, and myself.
Thank you for sharing this well written recipe article.
Thank you Misbah, for sharing this in the forum.

It is too bad that we cannot reach into our screens and sample bites.  That would be great!  Thanks for sharing this recipe, Misbah.

Thank you for sharing this recipe, Peggy. I am sure it is delicious. I have never heard the name “Zwieback” but we did give our kids what we call “rusks” that seem to be the same thing. Thank you too Misbah for the link.

    Hi John,

Rusks would probably be the next closest thing to the texture of the dried zwieback toasts, although with a hint less sweetness.  Both of them would serve the purpose of giving teething babies something to chew. Thanks for your visit and comment here in the forums.

    Hi Linda,

I am happy to share the information about zwieback with you and others.  It made a good crust ingredient for this cheese torte recipe.
