"The 25th Amendment specifies the procedure for the transfer of presidential power in case of an emergency such as death or disability. Section 4 states that the president can be stripped of his/her power if it is determined that he/she cannot “discharge the powers and duties” of the office. It would require the vice president and members of the Cabinet to give a “written declaration” to the president pro tempore of the Senate and speaker of the House.
But were these issues really imminent dangers to the country? If Biden was held to the standards that made Democrats worry about President Donald Trump, then the answer is no.
Consider some of Biden’s many mishaps. First, there are his many malapropisms on the rare occasions his handlers let him talk in public. Next, Biden has looked dazed, confused, and lost during press conferences. He’s been seen shaking hands with no one, wandering off a stage, and mispronouncing the name of our country. Finally, last week, while at the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health, Biden asked to speak to Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN), a former congresswoman who tragically died in a car crash earlier this year. “Where’s Jackie?” trended on social media as a result as Biden was mercilessly mocked.
Biden has made enough mistakes that even the most ardent supporter would question his cognitive abilities. Yet, despite these repeated gaffes and many other signs of decline, a president’s mental health deterioration apparently isn't a national security threat anymore. It shows that all of the Democrats' talk about the 25th Amendment was nonsense. It was nothing more than left-wing political theater to appeal to a rabid left-wing mob that loathed the president. It had nothing to do with national security or protecting the country."

It is obvious to me that not only does he have cognitive deficits, but they are getting worse. I had hoped his wife would do the right thing and persuade him to step away. I would really think she would not want him to be impeached or the 25th Amendment used to remove him.
It is clear thus far Congress will not do its duty. I feel if the Republicans take the majority in Nov, they will push him to step down and do the right thing to remove him from the presidency.
He has ignored requests by the Republicans to have cognitive testing done, we also have no reports of what medications he takes or his true physical or mental health. It is obvious he is confused much of the time.
Literally making up stories about his past life, that is so far from true.
He mumbles, and can't find his way to exit a room or stage setting.
I truly feel he is a danger to the Country, in so many ways.
One must ask themself, what kind of Congress would let this man sit in the White House? Not to mention what kind of society have we become to sitting and watching this man ruin the country.
I agree with you.
The only problem is we would be left with Harris. So, what is worse? A man who is suffering significant cognitive decline or a female who is totally and utterly incompetent at her job. The options are not pleasant.
The point of the article is that this situation is further proof of the hypocrisy and double standards of the members of the democrat party.
We would be able to keep her from doing literally anything. We need him removed, and retired. He is an embarrassment to the Nation. Impeaching him would show some form of strength on the world stage.
We have China, North Korea, and Iran not to mention Russia acting very boldly. Hopefully, we get a majority in Nov. We will be able to start
repairing the country, and gleaning back some respect on the world stage. Who knows what this administration will do next?
I agree that a Republican majority in the House and Senate would keep biden or harris in check.
" I agree that a Republican majority in the House and Senate would keep biden or harris in check...." IF they are allowed to try a little harder.
Biden is the perfect guy in office for those behind the scenes. They are loving this!

Now that the Trumplicans in the Senate abdicated on their duty to hold a fair trial and voted to let Donald Trump remain in office, did that mark the end of our democracy as we know it?Consider:1. There isn't a thing a president can do that will warrant removal if the Senate is made up of a...

After several days, for the first time in over 100 years, the Republicans chose a speaker. But only after proving once again they don't know how to govern. In the process, the speakership was neutered, rendered essentially powerless. McCarthy gave away the farm in order to...
