    Thats right hubbers.

hubpages is proud to recognize hubber Kelley Eidem who has not only cured cancer but swine flu as well! Next in line must surely be MS, Diabetes and variant CJD.

Kelley was unfortunate not to pick up the Nobel Prize for Medical Research but surely will be in line for the gong for "Most Cynical Attempt to Make Money Off the Desperate on Amazon"

If only everyday doctors had access to such revolutionary treatments we would all be safe from the nightmare that is cancer.

Must be a conspiracy organized by drug companies.

Good Luck Kelley with all future break throughs! We are counting on you.

    Realistic.

In true scientific research there is a variable known as "history"

This variable needs to be considered. It means that people sometimes get better on their own.

Every so often someone gets better spontaneously from a horrible disease. If that person put their pink shoes on the morning they got the good news they may well feel the shoes were responsible.

That doesn't mean wearing pink shoes will cure my cancer and promoting the Pink Shoes Cure would be immoral.

Everyone wants cancer gone. If the answer was so simple why are people dying as we waste time on the forums?

    Another point to consider.

Scientists have been looking at the incidence of disease in varying populations for years.

Certain population groups have differing disease profiles.

The Mediteranean Diet has been shown to decrease the risk of heart disease and stroke.

If Habanero Peppers cure cancer it can be assumed they prevent cancer. Last time I looked Mexicans were not famous for their lack of cancer.

I already had words with that one. He is on my list of people to ridicule and despise if they show themselves on the forums.

Unfortunately - lying is not against the hubpages TOS, so he is free to push his "cure for cancer" all he likes.

Do you doubt Alternative Medicine in general?  Western Medicine is as illogical as religion.

No. I was a massage therapist for ten years.

Who said anything about thinking Western Medicine is anything other than just another way of screwing money from the ignorant masses?

        This is Aussie for vomit.

Apparently it came from the first fleet of convicts shipped from England. Those sea sick on the upper deck would call out "watch under" before throwing up. These days "chunder" suffices.

Do you think they have a cure for toothache as I have the worst banger ever and just found out I have an abscess. One hour after sitting in the dentists chair I find myself one tooth down. Could it have been saved by a miracle pill. Also I am suffering from tennis elbow and about to undergo another injection. Can this be avoided?

As for the toothache, read fastfreta's hub on garlic.

As for tennis elbow, I'd say I'm an expert. Of course I don't have a doctor's order on you.  You could contact me to not talk about it wink  My sleep schedule is all wackadoo right now.  Surely I'm going to go to bed and sleep soon, but I'll be at my computer all weekend otherwise.

Have you tried melatonin? It works great for me and there's no hangover effect. In fact, I should have taken some last night. smile

rmcrayneposted 14 years agoin reply to this

I tried melatonin in the past and it did pretty good. THen had to stop because of possible interaction with prescription meds. More recently tried Skullcap.

I have been going to a naturopath for almost a year now.  He has been practicing almost 40 years and is also an herbalist, homeopath and nutritionist.  So I feel very fortunate and of course now only do what he prescribes.  My program is comprehensive, and is modified every 1 to 3 months.  He has prescribed lemon balm drops for my sleep, but I haven't picked it up yet.

I am an Asian, grew up with alternative medicine, for basic sickness like common colds, flu we just medicate on herbal stuff, but if the sickness is more malignant we go to a medical doctor, sickness of the mind, we just do yoga etc. There are few cases of mental illness in oriental countries, maybe what have been classified as mental illness here in western world is different in oriental countries or there are few psychiatrist in those countries? But I noticed here in the US people got to visit psychiatrist a lot?

    1. rmcrayne profile image90
rmcrayneposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Maybe we have more physical and mental illness in the US because of an over-reliance on doctors and prescription medications, less personal responsibility re:  nutrition and exercise, and total ignorance about detoxifying our bodies and use of herbal remedies. (I'm being serious, not sarcastic.)

A rare bit of common sense.

My concern with "treatments" such as this miracle cure is that it may delay someone seeing a doctor which can be extremely dangerous with a beast such as cancer.

It is also insulting to every oncologist out there fighting the good fight. It implies that they are:

a)Too stupid to have seen the cure right in front of their eyes

      or

b)Corrupt and letting people die so they can push their useless traditional medicine.

I would have agreed with you 5 to 10 years ago.

Alternative Medicine providers do cure cancer, and other auto-immune issues like lupus and MS.  Most see the futility in trying to convince the masses.  And most people are not willing to pay out of pocket for any kind of care when their insurance pays only for MD and pharaceuticals.

This is the same poor argument frequently rolled out "They have not designed a test that shows alternative remedies work".

It is easy to test. A simple controlled study would prove they worked if in fact they did. You don't think governments that spend billions on cancer care would not jump at the prospect of cheap natural therapies if they worked?

They can't "convince the masses" because their argument is weak and the vast majority of cures have been shown to no more effective than a placebo.

Here is a good article detailing the harm these claims do to cancer patients:

I am familiar with quack watch.  Arguments by physicians.

We can disagree, but I prefer to avoid the condescension.  I don’t expect to convince or convey in a series of forum posts, a position that took me a lifetime and career to come to.

I have worked in Western Medicine for 30 years.  I have reviewed thousands of records, heard thousands of patients’ stories.  I have seen failure, but far and away more success, with my own patients.  I am well acquainted with scientific method and the pitfalls.  I know what a randomized controlled study is.  I know what double blind is.  The Air Force was very keen on in-house ongoing continuing education.  We always had students, including doctoral entry level physical therapy students.  I know how to evaluate a presentation or article and tear it apart and then analyze the take-home message.

I no longer “believe” in Western Medicine, not even for cancer, and not for other auto-immune disorders.  Pharmaceuticals are toxic and contribute to further disrupting the internal balance of the body.  Pharmaceuticals are designed to “treat” symptoms, not correct the underlying imbalance.  We should embrace and listen to symptoms, not cover them up.  All my opinion of course.

So regardless of your opinion or anyone else’s.  I will remain an Alternative Medicine devotee.  There are people looking for information and commentary from both sides.  That is our “audience”.  Neither of us will convert the other.

            Peace.

Good for you, RM.  Taking the open-minded view.  We could use some alternatives here in the US.  The health care systems are a mess.  I'm starting to think in more holistic terms, myself, and less worry, let the body have its nutrition needs, yoga for relaxation, some walking every day for all over exercise, and moderation in appetites.

I've seen much improvement, in overall health and attitude.  It's a preventative lifestyle.

THanks Paradise, but get me going and you'll find that (after all those years working in a medical setting) I'm not very open minded at all.  I've gone radical pro-Alternative Medicine.  Started about 3 years ago.  I've written part 1 of 3 of how Western Medicine failed me (Sinusitis- How Western Medicine Failed Me the First Time). I rant quite a bit as well in my hub Failure of Western Medicine in Auto-Immune Disorders.

LOL, as much as I hate the word "discipline", it just sound as a lack of self-discipline. smile The cure is simple, but can take quite some time - let it develop to the stage when you just can't stand it any more, exhaust it. Then it will be a snap to fix. smile

    Great News:

Our master scientist can now also cure all pain and impotency:

"My Florida neighborhood used to be full of pain.... Back pain, surgery, broken limbs, joint pain from arthritis... We even had a few pains in the neck. ;-) But then I stumbled onto something that made everyone's jaw drop. Watch my video to find out more."

"It's Not Just For Sex. How five cent capsules can replace your Viagra. Erection help. Help for erectile dysfunction. Lost sexual desire help. Lost libido help."

This guy can do everything. Maybe this post should be on the religious forums.

His "doctor who can cure cancer" has had plenty of people find some rather large holes in his "research"
