There are so many great performances out there that it would be very hard to narrow it down to just one. Performances like:

    Tom Hanks ~ Forest Gump
    George C. Scott ~ Patton
    Heath Ledger ~ The Joker
    Liam Neeson ~ Oskar Schindler

BUT, what performance sticks out the most in your mind?

For me, it has to be...

Val Kilmer ~ John Henry "Doc" Holliday

Agreed. smile I just saw him perform. His last joke was about porn. As he was waving to the crowd someone yelled "Oh Captain, my Captain!" he was like "Oh quoting from Dead Poet's Society are we? Going from porn to poetry, now that's a leap!"

      He is amazing.

    Geez, there are so many...

Okay, how about the entire cast of "Glengarry, Glen Ross" (1992): Jack Lemmon, Kevin Spacey, Alec Baldwin, Ed Harris, Alan Arkin and Al Pacino?

Here's Alec Baldwin's performance, which is an absolute eye-opener.  He should have won an Oscar!

    Hey, coffee's for closers big_smile

John Hurt and Derek Jacobi in "I Claudius " series.
Elizabeth Taylor in "Cat on a hot tin roof".   Will Smith in "Ali" also gets my vote.
