Sesame street was absolutely fantastic when it started out. When we came to Canada in 1969 my Mom stayed home with my baby sister. As she was home bound she learned a lot of the basics of English while watching sesame street.

So I'll always have a soft spot for Sesame Street.

My youngest son was born a week after Sesame street-- which was great because it kept my almost 4 year old entertained while I took care of the baby.
Eeek ,my baby is almost 40!

Apparently we don't care enough about Sesame St in the UK. Our Google homepage today has us celebrating 20 years of Wallace and Grommit! big_smile

Wallace and Grommit are (is) worth celebrating-- though Sesame Street may have paved the way for a lot of things.

It's hard to believe that someone 40 and someone three have watch the same show.

(I've been looking for years for a song that Olivia sang to Elmo about, "I remember when I was little".  I can't find it anywhere.  Some of the lyrics are, "I remember my first pair of roller skates.  I remember my baby brother.  I remember the first time I saw snow."  I think the last line is like, "I remember when I was little.  It doesn't seem so very long ago.")

I don't know the title for sure.  It doesn't show up on any of the bunches of Sesame Street songs I've found.  I can't find it on YouTube.  hmm

Lisa, who was Olivia on the show?

She was played by Alaina Reed.  She was supposed to be the younger sister of Gordon, another "biggie" when the show was fairly new.
