Do as KCC suggests. Pick a topic that you enjoy, then use the Google Keyword Tool to find out what the traffic is like, the Average Cost Per Click and also what would be good keyword phrases to when you write as well as in your tags.

The top paying key word/s at the moment is 'car', 'cars', 'insurance'.  These are few to name, to my knowledge.

The trouble with this kind of information is that thousands of other internet marketers are looking at it.  And there's no point writing about a top paying adsense keyword if thousands of other people are also writing about it - too much competition.

What you need are reasonably well-paying words with low competition - then you'll get somewhere.

Obviously, someone who's found one of those isn't going to broadcast it on a public forum - because if a lot of other people jump on the bandwagon, it's no longer "low competition".

Use the Google Keyword Tool and play around with words to see which result in the best dollar amounts

I haven't checked, but "mesothelioma" was the big one for years, and I assume it still is!  That's the keyword that lawyers use for asbestos-related class action lawsuits.

    Or should I say, "law$uit$!"

I did a Hub with a short video on how to use the Google Traffic Estimator tool. Hope you find it useful to you. This is the link: http://hubpages.com/hub/use-google-traffic-estimator

Sometimes it's just better to write something that will draw traffic.  My 3rd highest earning hub for Adsense has a keyword estimate under 0.20 but it has a much higher than average traffic volume than the next 2.

    i second that.

still, i was going to write a car insurance hub before i knew they were strong keywords but i thought it would be too boring... wink

maybe i will dust it off and post it.

There are about 49,000,000 competing pages for "car insurance."

The average page rank of the top 10 listings in Google is 6.0

The top 10 pages average 220 backlinks to the page optimized for "car insurance" and 346,677 backlinks average per site.

The possibility of earning any adsense money with a Hub on "car insurance" built around that exact phrase is practically zero.

You would probably be better off by making the phrase "car insurance" a longtail like "car insurance des moines" or some such.

Very good research. Looks like long tail keywords are the way forward then.

I just google and found out few top paying keywords in Finance, mortgage, loan nices.
It was around $50-$69 for some keywords.

Just wondering is it true? has anoyne made that amount for single clik?

I presume that each clicks have to CONVERT in otder to gain full advantage in order to get that amonut of money for each clicks.

The price you listed is the highest bid from an Adwords User, you will receive approx 60% of that amount for a click.

Most of those really high bids are directed to google search only, not to the content network (You).

To date the highest I have received for a single click is a little over 9.00, which has not been repeated, and my average high clicks are in the 2.50 range

Marisa and Darkside have it right. Just because it's a top paying keyword, doesn't mean it'll make you any money if the competition is too high. The more competition around one subject, key word/phrase, or niche, the less likely you'll actually make anything because there will be more options for searchers to choose from. Your one page being amongst millions in some cases.

personal injury lawyer is a high paying keyword, most legal or medical terminology pays well, but like what was already mentioned high competition will make it harder to rank for a popular keyword phrase.

One keyword I will give you is -Natural cure for sore throat

This has less competition now. But will have after few months.
