I am invited to a 75th birthday party, and all of the guests are supposed to come prepared to answer the question "What would you like to accomplish before your 75th birthday?"

I have never been one to plan things far ahead-- and tend to subscribe to the idea that if you want to make God laugh, you make plans.

    Do you have any answers?

If I live to be 75, that in and of itself will be an accomplishment!

      Yep.
      Become President.
Hey, the bar is liberal and set really low now;  so anyone can do it!

Sorry if that's not the kind of answer you were lookin' for....it's just the first thought that came to my mind.

To be happy and be contented with LIFE has to offer like just at least have a day that you LAUGH OUT LOVE,and LIVE ...LAUGH
if you experienced that already and from then on you gotta laugh and stop worrying, all things will become better...

Experienced the LOVE--romantic love, and other forms of love as well,if you have done that already then thats LIFE is all about....LIVING and LOVING and having contentment in LIFE

Be happy and pass it on which is my new personal motto this year that I am trying to live by.  As I have noted in a hub dealing with death and remembering loved ones that have passed - the greatest gift is happiness.  Passing on this gift is a great accomplishment to spread.

that sounds really good. never heard of it. pisco, being made from grapes, must be really tasty. i don't know about the egg whites though.

actually, some are made with egg white, those are the truly great tasting ones.  the best of the best was at the #1 palafito restaurant in castro, chiloe - get a table overlooking the water, mid-afternoon, quite fresh seafood...

the second best being at la candela, a charming worn-at-the-edges hotel/restaurant in isla negra,  ocean waves crashing against beach boulders, next to the neruda museum...

before my 75th b-day? wow there is A LOT of things I want to accomplish before 75th brithday: get published, write a lot of fun and adventurious stories, have children and raise them along side with my husband, to travel more (and not just because we have to since hubby is military), have a real honeymoon in Ireland.... a lot more stuff too..

HEY this would make a good hub...kind of like the bucket list hubs that ppl have been doing.

hello Rochelle...in the next sixteen years I hope to be able to:
    forgive myself
keep lovng the two people who love me no matter what
get a nursing job I can keep and be proud of doing
let go of my anger over the past I have screwed up myself
    write more intensely
be able to walk, ride, skip or run through the streets of life without fear

    sooo

if I can accomplish 2 of these every five years I would call it just about even
its good to have goals and good to make plans..but as you said and has been said prior... wanna give God a good ole belly laugh? just go on and tell God your plans for the future

This is a very thought provoking question-

My answer would be to leave back a legacy which my grandkids will be proud of. I want them to leave fond memories and remember as one of the best things that ever happened to them. I want to touch as many lives as possible in the best possible way I can before I reach 75. Wow 75 seems a long distance from what my current age is but if i do live like Poppa said it would really be something.

As I'm pretty close to that particular birthday - well, being stalked by a handsome 25-year-old millionaire who's girlfriend is green with jealousy would be nice!
