I registered a few hours ago on Hub pages due to hearing so many good things about it. So I decided to give a hub a go. I have finished my first Hub and I'm relatively pleased with it. But because it was my first attempt I know it wont compare with others! So please could you give me some tips on how to improve it thanks.

It is too short and offers nothing to the reader.
There is no real information on it and it seems to be written for the sole purpose of driving traffic to another site.
So, I would suggest adding some actual content to it. If you are looking to write a great hub that is.
If you are not interested in that and just want to drive traffic else where - leave it as is.
Ok Well I have only had the time to put 1 articles on at the moment, but i have got 3 or 4 more to add. How many do you suggest? Is there anywhere i can advertise the hub page?
Is there anywhere here i can advertise it?
Or do I go on other forums advertising it?
The forums here are for discussion, not advertising.
Besides, internal traffic (other HubPages writers) don't click on ads.
You need outside traffic, ideally from search engines. That requires a good amount of relevant content and then backlinks anchored with relevant text.
Article directories are a good way to get backlinks, and blogs, as well as posting in forums which allow signatures with links.

Hey Bart!
I found this very informative(and somewhat lengthy) Hub that was written by Hal with regards to writing a great Hub and actually getting some views for it as well.
Here you go:
Hal's Tips: Writing For Hub Page Views
Also, Hal is a guy who has really nailed down a topic and has seen some great results because of it. Great Hubbing definitely takes some time, but there are definitely some ways to make your Hub more attractive to the search engine gods.
Take a read and let me know what you think.

This is a two-fold issue. I know we're in the middle of a Google Typhoon or whatever animal is wreaking havoc this month plus the summer traffic is, well, obviously somewhere else. In January/February of this year, my traffic was around 2000 views per day. Right now, I'm lucky if I crack 400. I'm...

To meet the 'quality' standard to avoid hubs getting sleepy ZZZd just follow these rules:=> A minimum of 1500 words of truly informative, well-written, useful content => A minimum of 5 relevant, high-resolution, properly-attributed photos (ideally your own) => 2 videos (ideally your own)...

Prompted by a comment in another thread, I thought it would be useful to perhaps slightly change the way that we commonly think about changes to hub scores, hubber scores and the like. Rather than see them as a judgement on us or our quality of writing, we can use these scores and other tools to...

Hub Pages is faltering?I keep seeing things on forums about Hubpages "tanking" or going down hill or traffic slowing or whatever. Is this just a lull on the internet since it's a busier time, or is Hubpages becoming a lesser place to be a part of?

Where does most of your hub traffic come from?Where does most of your hub traffic come from? Internal traffic from Hubpages itself, social bookmarking sites, or search engines? Or somewhere else altogether?
