Okay, I know I have heard a bunch of times that these ratings don't mean much, I am starting to doubt this however because I have quite a few hubs, some better than others no doubt, but a few that should be doing quite well and should have fairly decent hubscores. Specifically 2 hubs written in the past few days are below 50 and still falling. The only possible explanation for this would be negative ratings and the only reason for negative ratings would be for someone else trying to keep their hub with the same product performing higher than mine. Is it possible this is happening or is there another reason a hubscore would continue to fall below 50 and keep falling?

Virtually the only reasons for a Hubscore below 50 are duplicate content or insufficient content.

I highly doubt that just one person voting down would ever be enough to negatively effect a hub. And I doubt even more that a concerted effort would be made against you.

      Has the hub got traffic?

Just wait it out. A week from now it'll be higher. Not every hub is going to score 90+.

There is no way to justify yours should be better then another s. The ratings work like a search engine, I found most high scores lead mostly from traffic and sources of such. If you get all hubpages traffic to a hub the score is less then that from google.

Its best to ignore the score if you personally as a human knows the content is crystal, as all systems have flaws.

Also stats are disabled, means new hubs might be falling because the views aren't actively recorded (although there happening). I always had troubles with them at time of stat freeze. They will correct themselves.

lol ok I get your point, I still can't figure out then how I have no dup content and over 500 words of content and my hubscore is over 10 points below some guy who has a picture and about 150 words of content about the same product and posted in the same time frame...seems quite odd to me.  Oh and I have several photos and a few videos as well as links. I think I have pretty much followed the guidlines for quality hubs. These are the only 2 hubs that fall into a pretty competitive category in terms of money potential which is why it seems so fishy

both hubs I am referring to hav gotten a few hits according to analytics, i copyscape everything before I post it..maybe its just the stats thing being screwed up right now just seemed that would have the same effect on everyone if it were a system deal.

You could try posting a link to both of them in the Makeover thread and see if anyone has any ideas.

My average score for hubs is 71, I've heard a few people say theirs is about that. My longer hubs...over 800 words have the highest scores.

my average is around there too...I have one at 89 and several in middle to high 70's that is why 44 and 47 on the 2 I am referring to is freaking me out a bit

Have trust in your content and potential, all we can really say in the end. Give it time.

I just took a look at your Hubs and specifically looked at the two lowest.  They are both about the new iPad from Apple.

Given how many news articles just hit the Internet on that exact topic, and how every writer who has just written about it used the exact same facts as every single other writer, I wouldn't be surprised if your Hub is in fact original content and yet, the overall word choices are so nearly identical to every other article that you aren't actually saying anything different compared to everyone else.

So in the overall scheme, those pages aren't doing so well.

Ok so here is why I know I am not paranoid, this is a click overlay screen shot that clearly shows 12 clicks on the vote down button.  So now does anyone really still believe this doesn't happen and doesn't affect hub score?
