Describe, briefly, your religion's next big Holy day.
(Please, keep it nice. Leave the debates and posturing for other threads.)
Halloweeeeennnnnn!!!! Gotta love free candy. My religion says, anything for free is good. Especially when it makes your mouth happy!
My kiddo's birthday!!!
My religion says that life should be celebrated.
Thanksgiving! Oh yes, I don't think my relgion says anything about Thanksgiving, but I do enjoy turkey, stuffing and especially pumpkin pie, being with da fam, and food enduced comas.
Christmas! As in Christopher Cringle, (is that how you spell it) my religion says, it is nice to give people stuff and put smiles on thier faces.
My personal favorite is Halloween though. cause it all free!!!! All the other ones seem cost money.
Not my religion, but I'm still affected by it because it is also the law here. Ramadan is more than half over. The next New Moon marks the end of Ramadan and the start of Eid ul Fitr which is an important celebration in Islam.
Ramadan (together with the clear skies we get in the Gulf) makes you moon-conscious. Each Islamic month begins and ends with a new moon which does lend meaning to the idea of the month.
This probably has nothing to do with what you said, but this morning I looked up and there was the moon. I said good morning moon, it is nice to see you out this day.
Though not a wonder of the world anymore, I always feel rather happy to see it in the day.
Oh my bad, you Holy Day, not holiday. oopps!
Tomorow, my religion says everyday is a holy one. According to my beliefs, I should be thankful for everyday I do have, not everyday I do not have.
On these days, we smile, tell our family or loved ones how much we love them and spend the day in each others company.
I wish everyone would smile and love each day as the precious boon it is. Whatsoever happens when we die, to do so is the end, the extinction of our life as it is now. In Tarot, the Death card signifies a great change, whether it is spiritual or emotional, physical or mental. Taking it literally, what greater change is there than DEATH? So, celebrate every minute of life.
You have nice holidays here, girls Love yea both and all the rest every single moment
Because everything naturally occurring is of God, the next Holy Day for me is Autumn Equinox. For as the energies of the seasons change so do our energies. Because Soltices and Equinoxs are times of energy change, and because we are connected to the seasonal energies and change with them, they are Holy Days because we are of God's energy. Always changing as we move in the transmutation of our karma, toward the Oneness our soul had with God in the beginning.
Our One self aspect is always there, our human self aspects are being transmuted to vibrate again with the One self we were originally...in the beginning. I AM Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending.
I'm with Sandy - every day is a Holy Day, or it is nothing at all ...

RELIGION VS THE BIBLE.This is a striking subject as it has being somehow controversal in all ages regarding it's relationship with the Bible. Anyway, I know Religion could be man made in nature as it is widely claimed to be related to God and deities. What is Religion all about and it's realities...
