Life As I Know It: Let's Get This Striaght

   I have come across some, to say the least, interesting comments due to my ethnic background. It has definantly thrown me for a curve or two. I think God has a sense of humor and he is person who enjoys a good laugh, then he created me. So lets be candid and get a few things striaght. First of all I am Korean, I only know one language, english!  So trying to speak to me in chinese, japanese, cantonese, and for the rare few that actually get it right, korean,  it's apprieciated but wasted effort.  I do not know every asian person who owns a chinese resturaunt nor am I related. Yes, I drink tea so do the english, french, my grandmother, and my mother, I like tea! and not out of tradition or for ceremonial reasons. I do not eat stir fry for every meal. I have never worked for tokyo massage where men are given "special" massages nor do I own it, if I did it was a loudsy business because I didn't make a dime! My husband did not order through the mail.  Last but not least I really stink a sewing, so if your thinking about recruiting me for slave labor work camp, I'm too old and a great dissappointment! These are actual things people think of me primarly do to race, if you think thats funny you should see it when it happens, and it happens alot. At least my life doesn't get boring or lack humor.

         This was not meant to be negative but just humorous to realize what some people think due to a lack of knowledge of a person and and thought of knowledge due to a persons looks.  I don't think it's all racist, but ignorance.  It would be racist if those comments were out of hate and meant to hurt, but most of them were said innocently and just stereo types, so sometimes they just make me laugh.
