      I guess you mean the GOP representatives. members of congress are elected by the people and represent the people who they serve..
      
      The republicans have been shut out of the behind closed  doors where the president and democrats are meeting to get the votes.
      
      The Republicans have no power to pass anything , the Democrats hold super majority in both houses up to the time Senator Brown was elected.
      
      Obama and the democrat congress for 13 months could pass any bill,and they did .The problems are not with the Rrepublicans but with some Democrats that understand what they were sent to congress for.
      
      Tthe  truth will not set you free until you start recognizing the truth.

         Wishful thinking Sab. We need more Republicans to be displaced in November so we can move this country in the right direction quicker by reviving the economy (including job market) and reducing the deficit as we work towards a surplus over the next 6-6.5 years.

   Both parties are full of crooks and hypocrites, I cant think of more than a handful I would trust to clean my garage.
   
   That being said, Google the speech Obama gave against reconciliation when he was a Senator.  Both sides are such massive hypocrites.  It is like arguing with a child that has no sense of honor and will change their stance on a  topic whenever it serves them.
   
   Being VERY fiscally conservative (but pretty socially liberal) this is the greatest thing that could have happened.  McCain, though a great man, was to the left of many Democrats, basically he was a Dem who liked guns and was a defense hawk.
   
   With Obama winning, there have been a lot of house cleaning of RINO conservatives as there should be and all the BS that has been going on falls right at the feet of the Dems.  Couldn't have planned this better...man I miss Reagan.  I know this will anger all of those who sit around with their hand out for their next government check, but I am not a fan of people who think they have the right to vote themselves other peoples money.

            Obama has been trying too hard to compromise. There were a few more moderate Republicans in Congress when Clinton was president.

               Obama does not know the definition of compromise, his charade on television was a laugh. He has always voted with his Party (Illinois and U.S. Senate), and always will. He never listens to the opposition.
               
               At his TV meeting, he wanted equal time for both Party's. He ended up speaking longer than all Republican's combined. That is equal.

                  If conservatives are smart they will stay away from this.  Voting for a bill this unpopular will be political suicide unless you are from a  VERY liberal place (i.e. Polosi)

               You are such a good, and smart man. I love the way you handle TK. Why he would change his name instead of his MO is beyond me. Anyway, once this bill passes; the Democrats and most of the Independents will come back on board with Obama. He will have a easier time getting his agenda passed. And I think we will do very good in the Midterm Elections.
