   Face-eating world wide - beginning of the end or is there a drug related cause?
   
   Has anybody found out what was the cause or history of face eating? The Florida man was the first, then the face-biting in Louisiana - now in China, woman victim survived. Are all these involve mephedrone commonly known as 'bath salts'?

   Its probably just mental illness and a coincidence that all reported cases happened this year. I imagine if these crazy face eaters were like rabid dogs or Zombies, then the woman "Pan" who survived would be infected as well as the cop whose arm was bitten hehe.

      I would venture to say the media has not helped. By reporting these cases, the thought is put into people's conscious awareness and possibly it is the power of suggestion whether it is drug related or some biological mental illness.

      drug addiction is a biological illness. Mental is not sickness of the 'soul' is all chemicals in your brain.

   Bath Salts are now considered a controlled substance. If you are found in possession of said "drug", it is considered a crime. It reacts on the brain much like herion, and cocaine.    I think they where under the influence of a very powerful drug, not a zombie. If the apocalypse was already over, you would know it.

      laws can't keep up with new formulas. There will always be something 'new' on the horizon. The real problem is hos to get first time users to never start in the first place.

      yes, but that emininant threat of jail time, just might be the deterant that stops the few who are offered. Druggers usually intimidate, and lure those kids who are loners between the age of 12-15, when those children are most vulnerable.

   The specifics appear to be related to mephedrone. The general problem was predicted way back in the 1960s in Alvin Toffler's Future Shock, and dramatized in the John Brunner novel Stand on Zanzibar as "muckers," people who run amok. PCP has had the same effect sometimes. Biologically, human beings are wild animals living in cages called cities and being exposed to all kinds of environments and toxins we are not designed for. As this goes on and intensifies decade after decade and generation after generation, such breakdowns of the psyche, inner reflections of the breakdowns of civil society, are predictable. Life goes on - no zombies, no end of the world.

      Read it and, yes. Real life lepers & people dying in the last stages of a drug in Russia call Krokodil really do look like zombies.

   Not a Hollywood animated corpse - a real person. If people do this to themselves because they gave up on life - then there is no stopping the horror of self infliction.
   
   It is as if the brain was 'taken over' just as in Toxoplasmosis (cat crap), toxoplasma gondii infection in the brain causes self destructive behavior and that men who are Toxo-infected are greater risk takers and the 'cat lady' really is crazy.
