I believe it is to expose yourself to (relatively low dosages) of attack agents to our  immune system; however, it is easier to state and most difficult to regulate properly...

Here is a few things you can do to help your body out...

-Take in Vitamin D (sunshine!) at least 3 days a week
-Eat/drink a good amount of veggies & fruit every week
-Rebounding cleanses the lymph nodes (miniature trampoline)
    -Don't over use cleaning products
-Avoid prescription drugs & over the counter medicines if you can (they hurt the immune system)
    -Drink plenty of water.
-Be careful with supplements. Don't take just anything, do some research!
-Don't over exhaust yourself (physically or mentally)
    -Get good sleep
-Avoid energy drinks & caffeine, they deplete the body of vitamins & minerals.

    Hi,
To boost our immune system, regular exercise will help a lot. Make atleast 20 minutes in morning session for exercise with involvement. Even a walking will do a lot. So practice this on regular basis and also small exercise will be good for our health too. Instead of exercise in evening, morning will be a better choice, since atmosphere will be good and we can avoid pollution in early morning time.

Sound sleep will help a lot. Lack of sleep also a problem for our immune system. So get good sleep everyday. Avoid unnecessary thinkings during night time. It will affter our sleeping system and it will lead to mental worries. So get good sleep by listening music or reading books for few minutes before sleep.

Vitamin C is the best one for our immune system. So take foods / fruits containing Vitamin C. There are some supplementary products available in the market. Choose the best one with the help of experienced person. Better try with natural than artificial.

I've seen such good ideas about diet here, but no one thought of exercise. It is suppose to be one of the best ways to have a healthy immune system.

Take in a good deal of fruits that contain antioxidants, such as acai, blueberry and strawberries.  Also at least 1000  mg.s of vitamin c per day.  And 8 Hr.s or more of sleep per night if at all possible.  And exercise for  @ least 3X per week - 30 minutes @ a time.  And avoid stress as much as possible!  I believe these to be the key factors in promoting, not only a healthy immune system, but longevity as well!

I beleive the best way to boost your immune system has to do with your lifestyle. Lifestyle simply put is style of living and it is your choice. You can choose to quit smoking and help your heart. Reduce alcohol intake or eradicate it and prevent unneccessary destruction of important cells in your body. Some cells get destroyed during digestion of alcohol in the body. Choose what you eat because you are what you eat. Choose when you eat because every action should have their limits, even eating! Move around at every given opportunity, no exercise is too small. Take your personal hygiene serious e.g keep your nails clean and short at all time and wash your hands regularly, brush your teeth twice daily for at least two minutes each time. Keep every part of your outside body clean (and your hair). Moisturise your skin regularly and drink loads of clean water in place of fizzy drinks. The list is endless but above all, LIVE HAPPY.

Living a balanced life is the best way to boost your immune system. How does one define a balanced life? Other answers that have been given by writers as they answer this question are good. It is very difficult to label any answer as a bad answer unless it is a truly dangerous answer. Dangerous meaning, an answer that can cause individuals to harm themselves by practicing a misguided practice. For example, many people think that running can help one increase the strength on one's immune system. Therefore, they run many miles, sometime on a daily basis. If one overdoes running one can do damage to one's ankles, knees, hips, and even decrease the level of effectiveness of one's immune system. You see, running in the excess can cause increased stress to one's body systems, the immune system being just one of them. The different systems that make up the body, actually functions together to increase the well-being of the overall body. There are other ways that we stress our bodies to cause the immune system to become less effective. Going into all the factors that can decrease immune system function is beyond the scope of this platform for answering questions. I have talk about the immune system is some of my hubs, but I would have to write a hub just on this topic to do justice to this issue. However it has been a great joy for me, answering this question. My advice to readers is that they should ready all the answers, careful, in order to benefit from all the excellent information that is contained therein.
    Regards,
    Dr. Haddox

There are numerous ways to boost, and maintain immunity.
Water, Sunshine, and a balanced diet. All hard to attain.
Water, drink 1/2 of your body weight per day of filtered water.
Vitamin d3 supplement on a regular basis, upto 5000 IU, as a loading dose, then down to 2000Iu daily.
A good multi vitamin containing Vitamins A,C,and zinc.
Probiotics, either in supplement form. Or increase dietary intake. They are present in "live" foods, in there natural form. As well as yogurt, cottage cheese, and other fermented foods.
Juicing is also very beneficial ways to boost immunity. Juices containing live fruits, and vegetables, contain beta glucans, that boost immunity. May also be taken in supplement form.
During times of illness, replace tooth brushes, or sanitize in the dishwasher, or soak in peroxide, as you can re infect your self.
If you find that you are sick way to often, implementing these holistic measures will over time decrease your incidence of sickness. Starting this regime before cough and cold season will go a long way in your pursuit of being well.

Garlic cloves are natures antibiotic, learned this when I got the flu this winter. You separate the cloves and swallow the little pieces whole. I at a time is fine.Any food containing zinc is a really great choice when trying to boost the immune system. Those are the two I know the most about.

Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica) is the best solution for increasing your immune system. You can get its powder or liquid for daily use.
I assure you it will help. Just consume 1 teaspoon powder daily with water or 4 spoons of liquid daily for at-least 4 months. You will get results with permanent  increase in immune power.
