I don't depend on others to do those things, because people will fail you at times. I depend on God always, because he is always there for me when I need him.

No, I don't depend on them...I do what I need to do, and if comfort and motivation happens to come from others then it's gladly accepted, but not necessary for me to continue with what I need to do. As for direction...I not only don't need it from other people, I resent it when people try to offer it unless I've asked for help learning something specific. I think that anyone who assumes they can direct another is pretty arrogant in thinking that they know what that person needs more than the person him/herself knows it.

Its good to have role models and most successful people have a mentor, also it has been recommended that it is best to follow in the footsteps of those who have achieved what you seek to attain.

So there is no need to re-invent the wheel, Napoleon Hill with the suggestion of Andrew Carnegie went on to interview over 500 millionaires to find a success formula that could be understood and used by the average person.

This is how he formulated a philosophy of success.
In the book, Think and Grow Rich, and the law of success concludes that the principle is to join or form a Mastermind Group.

So if it is comprised of a small number of people dedicated to the achievement of one or more goals. Working in positive harmony, the group is able to accomplish more than the individuals could.

You never get to old to learn. All was not given to one person so its good to pay attention to others along your path to where you are going. You grow as you know ;and show as you go.The person that refuse to be told anything need to be on an island by themselves.

It all depends on the situation. When you can't manage on your own you have to count on others.
