    Knowing that I am my best companion, and that I always can have a good time when I am with myself; no arguing or fussing over the remote tv channels, what CD to listen to, no competing for use of the computer, and always comfortable with choices of food to eat, clothes to wear, or what hubs to read.

    I don't know whether any particular set of circumstances makes me feel happy.   With me, happiness, contentment, feelings of gratitude at life, arise spontaneously when I'm not thinking of anything in particular.   I've noticed that when we're not seeking, not wanting anything in particular, and not averse to our present situation, happiness...or maybe it is contentment, naturally arises.
