If you had to change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I feel like I have to make sure everyone's needs are met before I can do something for myself. I would like to learn how to say no without feeling guilty.

I wear spectables, and it'd be nice without having to rely on it.

FloBe..........I, as a woman , as a wife, as a mother, hear your cry.........

to be strong, to be an example , to be leaders, to be a voice.......we must simply and in unison say.........

After years of supporting you, I DESERVE to be heard.

THIS is for ME,..................THIS is my voice, it too, shall be heard.

My voice does not  silence yours.  But IT belongs to me,.  It is MINE.....and I have worth.

To change me......I would be more forceful, more vocal and less accomadating.  I would speak up for myself and my sisters more forcefully.

FloBe - meeting everyones needs before you meet your own personal needs leaves you with only a portion of who YOU should be.  This, in turn, cheats others from the opportunity of knowing the truly wonderful, independent, fulfilled person that you can be.

Take care of yourself first, give all that is left to others and what you are able to give them will then multiply (and you will give it freely).  You get one life; yours.  For you to be the best you can be you must love & care for yourself first.

If I could change one thing about myself I would treasure each moment even more than I do currently (without trying to make it more than it is).

FloBe - I wouldn't change a thing about myself now... I think I've worked on my personal issues and development long enough smile I've just stopped trying and starting seeing advantages of my "flaws" and put them into a good use.
As for you - at times its hard to say no, and first you have to work with your "guilt" feeling, where its coming from and why, and then saying NO will be the easiest thing for you to deal with. Pleasing everybody's else need before pleasing yours is just running away from being responsible for your own actions, fear to fail etc... I got rid of my guilt feeling with my NLP practitioner smile x

When I was seven, my clitoris was cut. It is an old North African custom that has trickled into some forms of Islam. No one asked me if they could mutilate my body, this was done for my own good, by my parents because they loved me. If I could change one thing about myself, this is what I would change. I would like to be whole.

I feel sometimes I am too dreamy about the future and miss out lots of opportunities in the moment NOW. I am learning to be more objective and less "short-sighted".

I'm sure there's a blessing behind every sacrifice made. If you are the only thoughtful giver/provider/supporter in your environment, then it is a challenge to continuously look after all the other receivers (who may be unaware/insensitive/take-for-granted your effort/love/care/needs).

    God Bless ;D

For me it would be my posture. My back causes me pain and my mother suffered with back problems for more than 40 years.

If I could change one thing about myself it would be lifelong illness that prevents the "real me" from reaching my dreams and making people proud of what I accomplish, healthy or unhealthy, and my ability to care for those I love in the way I would like to do. (15 lbs. lighter wouldn't hurt, either. Ha.)
