A person should always strive to be happy. I don't think their deceased mate would want them to be unhappy the rest of their life.
Of course! If they're only HIV+, they'll still have a long time to live before AIDS kicks in. And even if they have AIDS, their survival rate is pretty good due to the mix of cocktail drugs that'll extend their life expectancy. I think as long as they tell their new spouse that they have AIDS, it's perfectly fine.
