Whatever you enjoy doing as if you don't like doing it, you sadly won't do it on a regular basis

If you base it on calories per hour you need to consider whole body exercises such as cross country skiing, running and rowing.

If you base it on what you can potentially do for longest (therefore more calories used) consider going out walking at a steady pace or cycling as these are generally activities we can do for extended periods of time.

You can integrate many other things into your fat burning regime. Swap regular tea for green tea (100 extra calories burnt daily) walk/ cycle instead of driving short distances. Take the stairs instead of the elevator and consider what you're eating

I hope that is of assistance for you. CF

The popular thing to say these days is "high-intensity intervals burn the most fat!" This is true to a point. If you are short on time and have been exercising regularly for a few weeks,  try doing short bouts of intense interval training. Designed correctly, you can stimulate muscle growth and cardiovascular health, while continuing to burn a small amount of calories over the next 24-48 hours. For the long term, or if you can schedule the time, be sure to add longer cardio sessions. While these don't have to be marathon distances, your body will learn to use fat as its energy source when you do steady walking/running/cycling for 30 minutes+.
Whew! Long answer! You can find some good interval ideas if you search through my hubs.

No matter what anyone says, the best is always running. There is nothing better.

Circuit training is the most effective exercise of burning fat. You can also call it circuit weight training. I would classify training in such a way as to include heavy weight training, aerobic weight training, and just plain cardio-like jogging.... read more
