How much water should be drunk per day to assure good health?
My understanding is to divide your weight in pounds in half. Whatever that number is, drink a minimum of that many ounces. For example, if a man weighs 200 pounds, he should drink no less than 100 ounces of water daily.
Now they are saying an ounce a day for every 2 pounds of body weight.
I think 8 cups/ day would be enough. pls see the following link:

Take your body weight and multiply it by .65, then divide that number by 8. (example: 100 * .65 = 65 / 8 = 8.125 measured cups) You now know how many measured cups of water you should be drinking per day.
I think it depends on the person, activity level, etc. For me, I just fill up a jug with water, add a little lemon and drink that throughout the day.
Simpily drink water, untill your urine is clear each day. If your urine is not clear, you need to drink more water.
