What is your morning ritual? I have a morning routine that has not changed in over a year, do you?

I wake up to alarm at 6am, dog jumps in the bed and nuzzles, I get up, go to the bathroom, start the coffee, take the dog out, smoke a cigarette while I'm out there, come back in,  fix dog food, get coffee, go up to my room with dog flying by me, cat darts out under feet as I open door, yell at cat, give dog food, turn on TV to news, get lap top, plop back down in the bed with my coffee, start surfing the net, and stay that way for an hour before I really start the day. Yep, everyday for over a year. What's yours?

Mine hasn't changed much, mainly because I have kids to get to school. In the summer, it's different but not by too much since I still work at home year-round. The only difference in the summer is not taking anyone to school (which is nice because I can sleep in, too).

My routine hasn't really changed much since I finished college. I get up, take a shower (I cannot function until I've showered!), fix breakfast and coffee, eat, open up my computer and begin working for the day.

It's been this way for about 2 years now. I don't like change! =P

Mine has changed because the kids left, the dogs left, so now I roll out of bed, kiss the hubs good morning (if he's not traveling) get the coffee going, have some devotion time, hop on the computer and then think about eating or cleaning, and take it from there.

my routine has been routine for too many years. get up between 5 and 6:30 am depending on day of week, pour and drink cup of coffee while smoking a cigarette while watching the news, take a shower and then dash off to work, wishing all the while that I could just spend the day the way I want to instead of the way I HAVE to....sigh. My husband's routine is funnier. eyes open, sees dogs nose, climbs out of bed, dog runs to door. husband goes out with dog, smokes cigarette while out there. comes in and pours coffee. sits down. dog is on deck staring in at him. husband gets up from chair and prepares dog's food. lets dog in. dog drag races to bowl. husband sits down. dog finishes eating, dog puts head in husband's lap. husband gets up and lets dog out, husband can finally drink his coffee. lol....oh well. C'est la vie!!

Mine is almost the same minus the cat, and replacing the hour with showering and rushing out out the door remembering that I just forgot my coffee mug on the counter smile

Mine has been the same for a year since I resigned from work. Up early because my son's school bus arrives at 6:30am (boy, would he love to miss the bus), see off my husband as he leaves for work, then I either go back to sleep or turn on the computer, read news...smile

Mine is determined by location. When in my house, we do our morning text and prayer, exercise, brush, eat and do some house chores and start surfing.

When am in the campus, i have a different routine. I wakeup, take my bath, brush put on cloth and rush to lecture hall. It is always a busy day when in Campus.
    Thanks

My routine hasn't changed for the last 25 years or there abouts. Up at 4 - 4:30 dress for a cycle then get on the bike and ride (only 6 days a week the seventh I walk dogs).  Depending on what is happening that day the ride will be between 1 and 2 hours.  Arrive at a coffee shop and sit back with friends and chat about the ride and life in general.  Since moving to the Sunshine Coast I may have a swim if the conditions are perfect, for me.  Get home clean the bike, then myself and start preparing breakfast.  I'm a vegetarian and prepare a great spicy stir-fry for breakfast.  It certainly gets me going.  Always play a game of cards or triominoes with my partner while eating.  Helps digestion if winning (LOL).   Then it's work!  For the last 18 mths I've been working from home so it's a few short steps from the dining room to the office.  Here the dogs select their favourite spot and I step around them to launch myself into the day in front of the computer.  Great routine!
