Get up, brush my teeth, go downstairs, make my coffee, wake my kids up for school (during school days), sit with my iPad and check Hubpages and drink my coffee..... .(Is that considered addiction?!)
No...no addiction at all. I think everyone needs their morning zen of coffee/reading or whatever it is they do. We all have that routine we stick too.
Let the dogs out! Coffee and a cigarette then spin around on hubpages!
Me too!...Let the dogs out...they stampede to the door. I have six dogs, you can only imagine!
Wake up, read for 30 minutes, get breakfast while doing Rosetta Stone, do homework and study in the morning or shower and clean the house.
I'm doing rosetta stone in the mornings too! Wow, it can get repetitive sometimes.
Being irritatingly repetitive is how I learn. It can get boring, but it also gets stuck in your head.
I'm the queen of autopilot mode in the morning. I have my alarm at the far end of my bedroom so I have to physically get out of bed before I can turn the damn sound off! After that, it's a manic rush to the shower, a quick bit of breakfast, a quick catch up of the news on the TV and then I'm out the door. That's when I usually realise I'm awake and it's too late to crawl back under the duvet!
Funny! Good plan though...I'm the same way..If I stay in bed long enough, I start to justify sleeping in, and that "Everything will be ok" or "Sleeping is more important than work...its for my health!"
Wake up, pull the covers up on the bed, grab clean clothes, brush teeth, brush hair out and then get in the shower. Then I come straight to the computer, check email, post in a couple of places, check Hubpages, then around 10 or so eat breakfast.
It's funny, They always say that you should eat breakfast first thing. I can't imagine it. The thought of eating breakfast after brushing my teeth...yuck. It takes me until after 12noon at least to eat something.
Similar to Sage in Cage, I go autopilot most of the time. Get off my bed, put off the alarm which is a distance away from my bed. Bathroom rituals. Off to the kitchen to prepare my daily potion: Glass of water mix with a spoon of Apple Cider Vinegar - it's a ritual before I take in anything solid in my tummy. Then back to the bathroom to shower. Check email, FB, HP after shower and while waiting for my coffee to brew. Breakfast and next thing I knew, I have to fast break because it's noon time already! Well, this is if I'm home and not flying. Welcome to HP, by the way!
Wow, Your In full throttle the moment you wake up. Kudos to you, because I like most people have to transist between being in dream land and reality. I do like your morning tincture of ACV, That is so good for you!
Hit the snooze button, then hit it again, reluctantly get up,strong coffee and toast, shower and brush teeth, dress ,comb hair, pedal to work unless its the weekend then I bounce out of bed and have breakfast with hubpages
Get up, let 2 dogs out, milk the goat, put up milk, let other 2 dogs out, feed/let out chickens, check online stuff, help kids with breakfast, change the baby, get breakfast for the baby, sometimes get my own food.....
Coffee, making school lunch and breakfast, reading e-mails, housework or shower and off to work.
I am not exceptional, i do what most of the people do on the planet. happy hub.
I don't rush, no alarm clocks but I always get up early to exercise. Took time to talk to my family before anything else.
Shower. Breakfast. Work

Do you consider morning routine a good thing? Do you have one?

What do you do to start the day?How do you get yourself up for those horrible 5am starts? What do you do to make sure you sleep a good night and don't carry on sleeping at work? What's the best way to wake yourself up in the morning?
