    These days I write to keep from snacking. Years ago, I knit two sweaters over several weeks and lost 25 lbs!

    I just don't snack at night, it's called self control.

    I'm guilty of this myself.  I try not to watch so much television right before bed because that's when I eat.  It's partly self control, but a lot more than that.  Find something you like to do and wind down at night doing that instead of eating.

    In the night when the urge rises, I kick in some smooth jazz on pandora, and write short stories until the sun rises.

    I do not do very much to keep from snacking at night.  In fact I often have a snack at night.  Since I know I like to snack I often avoid eating desert at supper and have it as my snack.  I eat when I am hungry.  To reduce the cravings I do relaxation exercises and try to avoid being bored.  Stress and boredom can lead to food cravings when you are not really hungry.

    Snacking is not always bad.  Sometimes it can even help you lose weight.  You just need to make sure your body needs the food.

    snack all day instead...oh and put a time lock on the refrigerator.
