Do you think you are enjoying your life? Or is it passing you by? Why?
I go between both. The times in my life when I am unhappy about things or I have a lot to do are the time when it seems to pass me by. I like to take time out of my busy days to stop and think. It helps slow things down.
I agree with Vinsanity100. In some ways life has already passed me by. When it comes to writing and being a writer, however, I feel rather fit, keen and well into getting my act together.
I am grateful for every breath...sometimes we forget..so busy with the outside world..so many demands on our time and attention..but we must always be present in each moment because that is where the magic is..each moment can only be enjoyed at the moment of awareness..
Most of the time I enjoy my life in whatever situation I am. But there are sometimes I forget to enjoy it and then my life just passes by unnoticed by me. This happens for a couple of months each year.
Like most people, I have had my "down" days, and there are things in my life that didn't go the way I wished. However, on the whole, I have enjoyed my life and I'm still enjoying it.
While we can strive to make our lives better, we also need to appreciate what we have and find time to enjoy the little things in life, the people we love and the things we love to do.
Time passes and we don't always get to do everything we wanted to do, Life won't pass us by if we take time to appreciate the good things that we do have.
Definitely am living each day, enjoying, relishing, and squeezing all of the goodness out of it that it offers. I only have the opportunity to walk this way once. There is not a moment to miss.
I just saw a quote today that goes something like this...live life today....this is not a dress rehearsal. Challenges face our family as they do others but we have chosen to face them and move on. An old family saying...keep on keeping on.
I don't think I am enjoying my life, I know I am. :-) Seriously though, I've never been happier since I learned to appreciate the positive things in my life, every day. It can be something as simple as my favorite sweater, or as important to me as my fantastic husband. Doesn't matter who or what, there is always something to appreciate everyday. Focusing on the positive helps to keep you happy and healthy, it's been researched (See my hub on staying positive)
I am definitely enjoying life. The alternative is way worse.
Totally live every day like it is my last! I lost a sister when she was just 26 due to a car accident. It really opened my eyes and made me realize to live each day to the fullest because we really don't know when our stint on earth is up. Do it up and god bless ;-)
On the weekends I really enjoy life. During the week I am a wage slave and I am trying to change that. Monday thru Friday I sometimes feel life is passing me by because I am stuck. But on the weekends everything is grand!!
Find something you like about your job, anything, it earns you money is one example, and focus on that Monday thru Friday. Then see if you can find something else you like about it, for example the route you take there is pretty, and keep building...

What is the best way to "live in the now"?I often hear about this as a means of de-stressing and improving the quality of one's life, but I often find it hard to do. My OCD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder don't help either. If you are able to, what's your secret?

Why is it hard to accept happiness?I've always had the problem of not accepting the happiness I receive in life. Why is that? Why can't I just shut up and be happy?
