How has your life changed as a result of pursuing writing on hubpages?
Having people see my work and respond with criticism, whether positive or negative. I also think that this site helps me develop a good writing portfolio. Hubpages also gets better exposure than blogger or wordpress where the pool is too large.
Responses are important, after all that is your readership and they assist in helping us all to be better writers. In edubabble we call this--peer tutors.
Yes it has. I have really enjoyed the community of writers here at the Hubpages. I have gained advice, knowledge, and experience as a writer here. I have advised many aspiring writers to start writing here. I love the Hubpages and would recommend any new writer, or veteran for that matter, to use this awesome forum. WP
Before: Pursued the elusive dream of finding a job; After: Pursue the elusive dream of making money writing hubs.
Before: Spent more time than I should have on Facebook; After: Spend more time than I should on hubtivity. Hubtivity is endlessly fascinating.
Before: Fantasized writing acclaimed and popular novels; After: Fantasize getting my writing speed up to two hubs every month.
Absolutely!
I have just celebrated my 1 year anniversary here with HubPages. My wife calls it my girlfriend and I have to admit I've been in trouble at times for the love of the craft. Fortunately, my Sophia understands the passion!
All kidding aside, this is a simply marvelous community. We write, we learn, we play, we compete, we collaborate and I know that I have personally gained many new friends, people I would never have met in any other way. That, in and of itself, is a pearl of great price. Then the icing on the cake is doing; doing something we love in a supportive environment. Much like Toastmasters where the focus in on speaking, whether you're good at it or not...just speak.
Here at HubPages, we want each person who wants to write to express themselves through the craft and...love doing it with people who share that love of doing!!!
Thank you HubPages family! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Expressing your passion is what it is all about!
Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.

When asked, what can you do for hours and lose track of time? Well, simply, I love to write.
This venue has opened me up and I so enjoy the pouring out process as much as I love reading beautiful pieces here from such beautiful minds.
Thanks Hubpages + community members !
My fiance says I am addicted to hubpages. I stay up too late reading and writing. I have no idea what the news of the day, week, month is. I don't call my mom and I'm late for appointments. On the upside, I made $3.86 last month. In order to boost my income, I researched what the hot sellers are on amazon. I now sell diet pills on my hubs. I am contemplating selling action figures. I think my writing has improved. At least my Mom thought so last time I talked to her.
We write because we are driven to do so. I guess that is the intrinsic. As for selling diet pills to monetize your hub, I hope you've written a great review on the pills giving the good and the bad, helping your readership weigh(pun intended)options.
Yes, there is definitely a compulsion to write. I'd love to say something important sometime so that all the time can be justified. I might get a celebrity spokesperson for my diet pills so there is more WEIGHT behind the ad....maybe Kirstie Alley.
