@smilingjimdickson I've read you hub and you have such an interesting insight about christianity. But you may want to re-crunch your numbers because christianity is nothing close to being done. And in the first place Christmas is called as such because of Christ and his coming here on earth. You can never put Him out of the picture.

@heavenbound5511 This is one of the things that happens once you decide to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You get persecuted - even online LOL!

But never forget: “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them." Matt. 5:10

And:  "But I say to you, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be like your Father in heaven, since he causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." Matt. 5:44-45

Let's all hold on to the promise and love of the One Living God! smile

My life, personality, actions, and speech changed so dramatically right away that my co-workers couldn't believe the difference, mainly because I had stopped swearing at all and was awful before.  But the biggest changes came about gradually over time after I began journaling to God in the early morning hours at length and the Holy Spirit helped me see the childhood and adolescence I had resented for so long from a new and exciting light.  I became so much in awe at how much God had been loving me for so long without my realizing it and my love for Him grew in leaps and bounds.  Today my relationship with my Heavenly Father is the greatest treasure in my life and I just want to share that with others.

Always, in all ways, to God the honor and praise!

Not to be too facetious I hope... but I was born in Jesus and have always been in Jesus, so the only changes are the times when I forgot that.and went walking away.... the only change was going back home.... so, in short, i was blessed from the start. and the only change came when I forgot. :-)

It changed the way I conduct my self and the fear of Him always reminds me of ridding the demons that keep on bothering me from time to time. Thanks to you Ms. heavenbound and good luck to all of your endeavors.

My life did a 180.  I always knew about Jesus since I grew up in church, but really I had more of a relationship with religion and the church programs.  The person of Jesus always seemed distant to me.  But in college I hit an ultimate low and is desperation called out to God and said that if He was really, really real...that I needed to know it experientially because I just had too much pain and sorrow.  Immediately I felt a warmth like electricity flow through my body and peace like I'd never, ever felt before settled upon me like a warm blanket.  I went from being a depressed, angry, fearful person to a joyful, peaceful, risk-taker for Jesus!

I used to be controlled completely by things that I am no longer controlled by.  Oh, I'm still full of all sorts of sinful thoughts, and sometimes indulge in some behavior that ain't what it should be, but I'm no longer controlled completely by things that one would best describe as being "in the spiritual realms."
