What are 10 simple things that make you happy?

In your most stressful of days, there are still the simple things you can think about that bring you warmth and comfort. What is it that makes you truly happy? The sweet smell of your newborn after a bath? A baking apple pie?

When my grand-daughters call me "Na-na," air conditioning when it is 106 outside (it was yesterday), my new soft pillow, lemon in my iced tea, eating a triple waffle cone from Rite Aid, getting paid from my writing clients -- no matter how little the check is, waking up after a good night's sleep, playing fetch with my Yorkies, getting a manicure, and having a "good-hair" day.

A warm welcome from a friend, my grandchildren's hug, companionship from my dogs, a letter or card from a loved one, meeting a new friend, spending time with an old friend, good comments on my writing, listening to music, watching classic television shows and being appreciated by my family make me happy. My list goes on and on. There are many little things that make me happy.

First of all, I LOVE this question.  It is the simple things in life that add joy to our lives.

My list would include: flowers, a soft breeze, chocolate, Bossa Nova music, taking long walks, my children's laughter, fountains & beautiful gardens, butterflies, cinnamon rolls, and sunsets.

Very good question because it will put us all through the process of thinking about it and feeling gratitude for what we have.
1-the good health of my children and husband (not that simple, right?)
2-cats (generally animals-I appreciate dogs but they get on my nerves because they're so dependent)
3-having airconditioning (right now where I live it's 35 degrees Celcius)
    4-having coffee in the cupboard
5-visiting my mother-in-law and liking it (she lives right above me)
    6-my flourishing plants
    7- that I have a home
8-that I have enough money so that I can give my adult (unemployed) children pocket money
9-being able to say no to fattening food
10-having a village on an island to go to in the summer
    And you?
