Would you tell someone right away if you are dating and have a depression/anxiety problem?
I don't date because of it. Or at least the health reasons causing it.
Don't want to be a bore or drag, or "booby prize" for any-one!
That's private information that doesn't need to be revealed to casual aquaintances which is what someone is when you are first dating. Wait until you get to know one another better. A good time to reveal your depression/anxiety issue is when the other person feels comfortable confiding something private about themselves. Please don't refer to your issue as a problem. "Problem" infers that there is a solution. Depression/anxiety is a disability like paralysis or blindness and nothing to be ashamed of.
Uh if you have anxiety or depression you shouldn't be dating at all until you've solved that. It can lead to some very poor choices.
no i spent two years alone, and i will never go back to a bad choice and in counseling.
As long as you are in therapy, it's okay to date. Therapists are great at helping you sort out choices and make good decisions.
