Is there such a thing as night sleepwalking/eating?
It seems my husband will wake up in the middle of the night (assuming he is awake) and start eating something from the kitchen. One morning I noticed that there were cheerios all over the kitchen and on other days crumbs all over the place ...LOL. I thought we had a mouse in the house until one night I heard him get up and go into the kitchen, then the next morning found a mess everywhere. He is not messy otherwise during the day? So strange, as he does not seem to remember getting up to eat in the middle of the night or leaving a mess!
Faith, as a kid I sleep walked a lot. Then later as an adult, I'd apparently sleep walk into the kitchen and get a piece of bread. The only way I know this is because I'd wake up in bed with a dried piece of bread on the covers and only one or two bites taken out.
This hasn't happened in a while, but the answer to your question is YES!
Oh, wow, Sha, how interesting! Makes one wonder what else one does while sleepwallking.
It is! Reminds me of a time when my brother-in-law went outside somewhere during the night and came home with his pajamas wet up to his knees! There was a creek nearby! He knocked on the door and in a monotone voice said who he was and to let him in.
Holy Mackerel! I hope I never venture beyond the fridge in my sleep walk adventures!
That's what I'm saying! We were watching a movie late that night and thought his brother was asleep. At first, we did not believe it was his brother at the door. It creeped me out!
I have heard, or read, of that for various reasons Faith. When people were on a diet - but it was the wrong one or they did not want to be; when people were overeaters; when they were dreaming about food (picnic, meals, etc.); the list goes on.
That is the story of my over weight self and I am sticking to it!
Thanks, Kevin, that is interesting and could actually by why lol. Too funny there, dear Eric! Have a blessed day.
Interesting. Keep an eye on him. It is very much within the realms of possibility. Many sleepwalk, but the eating thing seems new to me.
Hope all goes well. Peace.
Hi manatita,
It may very well be related to his having sleep apnea. Just strange LOL
Peace and blessings
Im going to say yes although I don't know for sure. My first husband was a sleepwalker and so were both of my sons. They didn't eat, instead they had the bad habit of thinking they were in the bathroom. The family said my ex went to the closet and peed in his brother's boot when he was a teen. Once late at night I was in the living room talking to an overnight guest we had when I heard something in the kitchen. My youngest, eyes wide open, was firing away at the trash can. I called his name, and when he didn't respond, I directed him back to bed. He was six and really embarrassed when he learned what he had done.
When we lived in an apartment complex with a swimming pool, I used to worry about one of the boys walking out the door and into the pool, so the manager had a very high inside lock installed on our door.
Oh, my goodness, MizBejabbers! I believe I am okay with eating sleepwalking now compared to what you have shared. Yes, that would be a concern about the pool!
Several people in my family have been sleepwalkers, but it did not last long for them (maybe a year or so). Funny - they were all men. One thing I always heard was to never wake them up, but quietly lead them back to their bed with a quiet and soothing voice.
Hi Phyllis, thank you for sharing. I heard that same thing too but do not know if it is true. I never bother him as he just comes back to bed on his own.
I saw this and meant to get back to it days ago! Your husband sounds like me after my babies were born. I would wake up hungry every night and it didn't matter what I had; just had to have something desperately! Just a drink of something would sometimes do me but if there were leftovers I never forgot them!
Yes, hahaha ...he could be just having cravings but I dont know why he leaves a mess. So that tells me he is half asleep or sleepwalking.

Is there such a thing as graph paper that doesn't photocopy, so only the illustration shows?I'm really interested in learning how to draw Celtic designs and I think this would help, if it exists.

Is there such as thing as absolute truth? What is it?After all, if a person insists that truth is relative (and we can't determine what beliefs are right and wrong), what reason is there to believe anything that they say?
