Is there a country where grand parent's day is celebrated or grand parents are  honoured ?

I have heard of father's day, mother's day and teachers day, labour day and veteran's day. Is there grand parents day? Any reasons why it is not celebrated? Is it not the best way to connect the grand children with their grand parents? In Japan the need is so high that they are rented too!!

In Pakistan the day is not celebrated but every grand child treat his grand parents like they are every thing for him.

Grandparents day is celebrated in the United States each year on the first Sunday following Labor Day.

Yes, ramkkasturi, Grandparents Day is celebrated in the United States.  (see SarahLambert's response).  Hallmark Inc. and the Hallmark Card shops never leave anyone out!  There are cards for every occasion and every group of people.  That's there business: to promote selling their stationary to celebrate SOMETHING. And through the many Hallmark and other card shops, there are plenty of reminders, as well as plenty of cards to choose from to help promote this occasion.  I hope that gives you a broader idea of the motivation of this company, behind the celebration.  smile
