   How do you spend Christmas?
   
   Christmas season is a major holiday season in the Philippines. Its the time for family reunion, a time for bonus and 13th-month pay, for giving and receiving gifts, for plentiful of food and parties,  and a lot more. Christmas season in the Philippines begins when the "ber" months start e.g. "Septem-ber", "Octo-ber" through December.

   I spend Christmas with my family.  We all meet at my brothers, go to midnight mass, and then go home.  We open presents in the morning.

   Christamas is certainly the best season of our lives. My family enjoys it dearly. We buy gifts for each other, decorate the house with various small things, have the Christmas tree up and bright and make a different food that is delicious. After a whole year of tasting the same food, in Christmas we make something different. The hosue is filled with lights. It's very Christmassy.

   I'll be alone on holidays in Portugal-Faro, overlooking the sea and the harbour from my 4 star hotelroom! Just booked the flight recently to have something to look forward to.
   
   Staying in Valencia on my own, missing my future husband in Brazil, having little friends who stay in town, made me decide to get out and enjoy another great holiday alone.
   
   Instead of feeling sad for not being able to spend it with my love, I can wonder the streets of Faro, talk Portuguese and enjoy temperatures of around 15 degrees!
   
   Next year we'll finally spend Christmas together:-)

      "Next year we'll finally spend Christmas together" I can say this also about my husband; I will be missing him this Christmas. But you got a Christmas gift already; have a happy holiday this Christmas.

   Christmas Eve I spend with my partner. We open presents, have a nice homemade dinner, watch a movie, and have a fire outside with marshmellows. However, Christmas morning I get harrassed to go to my family's Chruch that I don't like, then visit their home and spend the day with them.

      "I get harassed" on Christmas; it sounds funny at first but I can understand the feeling; my family used to do that to me too since I left my family religion.
      But surely you enjoy your family bonding, after the Church...

      Moderately. I love seeing my parents and siblings. But on Christmas it is exended family so it can be a little awkward.

   It is fast approaching!  If we do not get to go home to see our family, we enjoy watching the lights on the tree, watching an old Christmas movie or two, make a special meal. We usually attend Christmas eve services and will have a dessert afterwards such as Christmas cookies and hot cocoa. This is special to us.

   Going to Church and celebrate. Then visiting families and friends during the "ber" month. I'm also looking forward to travel to another country during the Christmas to see how the world doing. Thank you for asking this question that making me to think what to do this Christmas.
