What comes to mind at the mention of New Year's Eve and New Year's Day? Is it a celebration
and/or anticipation of the coming year or the anticlimactic aftermath of Christmas?
- New Year's resolutions
- New hopes and expectations
- Forgiving and forgetting all the offenses happened in the leaving year
- Making tons of wishes
- Sharing joy and happiness with others
- Lots of food
- Midnight kiss
I of course like to focus on my priorities and goals for the year ahead, but when it comes to the actual night of Christmas Eve, my first priority is staying indoors away from the drunken idiots who shoot their guns off in our area. They presume that if they are in an open space and shooting in the air no one can get hurt. I think otherwise and choose to remain tucked away with my kids and we watch movies and have dinner together. Most of us fall asleep before midnight anyway .

Have you ever been kissed on New Year's Eve at midnight? If you have do tell, was it romantic? Was it spontaneous with a stranger? Was it just going with the flow and the craziness around you? Is it an actual tradition for you?
