There are so many great quotes maria.rose, however the only one that I can think of right now is one that Clint Eastwood often quotes in his Dirty Harry Movies, which is..."A man has got to know his limitations!"

I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile
You're all I've ever wanted, (and) my arms are open wide
'Cause you know just what to say
And you know just what to do
And I want to tell you so much, I love you

'To be or not to be?', that is the question.

That seems to be the response to most things in life, haha.

I'm not a 'quotes' person but that one seems to be good when someone ponders over a situation.

There are a lot of quotes I like but one of my favorites is "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." One I just saw today was "Do what you love and love what you do." This reminded me that I am definitely not doing what I love right now and need to move in that direction. Good question.

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

Calvin Coolidge ~~~~ 30th president of the United States of America (1872 - 1933)

    oooh so many quotes!
here are some of my faves:

William Blake: What is now proved was once only imagined.

Jack London: I would rather be ashes than dust. I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.

The things we do for ourselves die with us. The things we do for others are immortal. (can't remember who said this)

Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable and achieves the impossible. (read in a college yearbook)

James Dean: Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today.

    and from thingsweforget.blogspot.com:

    Resist the ordinary.
Do not confuse the untried with the ordinary.
If not now, then when? If not this, then what?
    Fear mediocrity.
