How often do you read hubs written by fellow hubbers?
I have found such a wealth of information and great articles here, that my problem is not whether I want to read, but when! Truly, I could spend hours daily finding interesting reading here, but that is a luxury I do not have.
What about you? Do you enjoy reading hubs, and do a lot of it? Do you have your favorite HP authors, or do you fish around for what appeals?
When I started I had intended that I will visit the hubs of followers and those I follow regularly, but now I find so much that comes my way that appeals to me, that my reading has become very much a hit and miss affair.
Yes,by reading the content of my fellow hubbers I become more educated and more informed on so many topics. That directly supports my development as a writer and intellectual human being. Not to mention that fellow hubbers return the favor and read my work just as I read theirs.
Thank you for sharing with us Mihnea Andreescu. I cannot but agree with everything you have said. My only problem is time; time to read, to research and to write!
I understand-Lack of time is a problem for me too,as I am studying for admission into the State Law School of Bucharest and exams are a nightmare.
OMG! I am astounded as to how you can fit everything in, cause I see you do quite a lot of writing. Good luck in your exams, and I look forward to reading some of your work here.
You and me both. Besides this site I'm on LinkedIn and Twitter, and on top of that I've got my books to complete (less than three chapters left on the current one). So I feel a bit squeezed. Nevertheless I try to visit a few a time, maybe leave a comment.
As long as I start the 'serious' writing by 10pm (local time) I'll get some pages in, about 30+ - a chapter - a week (put myself on a productivity bonus).
When I've got this MS done and scanned it for typos I'll have another splurge on writing some more Hub-pages. I added one last night in response to Linda's challenge (shows how far behind I am!).
Not as much as I did two years back. I read those I followed closely, the top hubbers, and the Hub Hopper. Different reasons for each category. The Hub Hopper I spent a lot of time on. I learned much from that. Both content and context, hub design, and English usage too. I was always a 'C' student in that subject. You saw 'the good, the bad, and the ugly' while hopping. Excellence too of course. Today with their sliding scale for scoring one learns many more specifics to the 'Stellar Hub' concept.
Today I have challenges with reading and comprehension due to life changes. So, I tend not to read. For instance I struggle getting passed one chapter much less a book. When I do read it is research with extensive notes many times only a few words to trigger memory.
It is cumbersome for me, so I am kinda' discouraged with reading today. That should change as this year passes along. My hope is to retake at the community college Power Reading for a tune-up as a credit / no-credit class. Then I will read more here and effectively.
Tim, it seems to me you are a hard task master - to yourself! You are one of the best here but I am guessing that like many of us, you have some problems to do with our rich experience- aka "A.G.E, syndrome"! Tell me pls, what or who is Hub Hopper?
Hello MarieLB. Sorry for the delay. Go to your Account Page. Look at the Top Left. You will see three options - "Help Us Out, Hop Some Hubs", Follow HP on Twitter & Fan on Facebook. Click then the rest is explained with Hubs to Hop, Read & As
Same case here also. I read at least 2 hubs of fellow hubbers, if not more. But they may not be those whom I am following, at times.
Generally I receive daily mail of new hubs published and I choose at least two of them for reading. Then I go to the questions and forums and reply those interesting to me. If more time permits, I log in to the mainstream of HubPages and find one or two topics there interesting. This is what I do on hubpages.
As often as I can. I am a high school English teacher, and I just got started with Hubpages this summer. I hope to read a number of hubs before school starts in August. I also hope to write a number of hubs in that time. It goes together for me. I learn from the hubs I read, and I hope to apply what I learn to what I write. There are some HP authors who are becoming favorites. I do search topics as well, and I often click on the recommended hubs, too.
Wow! we have an English teacher in our midst. It is a valuable addition to the wealth of skills on this site. I had a look at your site, and I have no doubt that I will be popping in to read, from time to time. Thanks for joining us here Danny Cab

What do you do when you read a hub that is purely promotional? The hub itself may be well-written and enjoyable, but clearly it is all about promoting a company, product, or service. Do you flag it? Do you ignor it? Do you rate it?

I'm curious as to whether there has been a decrease in hubbers using the hub hopper to rate hubs. I just have a feeling there is because my hub scores haven't been fluctuating as much (which is fine with me). Overall, I'm wondering if there's been a bit of a slow down in hub QAP due to...

Hi fellow Hubbers! I've been hubbing here at HubPages since year 2010 and I just can't believe that I haven't earn anything from my published articles since then, not a single cent! There's obviously something wrong. Any ideas? Please help! Thanks.

Why do fellow Hubbers fawn over a Hub filled with errors? Many times I will see an attention grabbing title and within the first sentence there will be a misspelling of a word. Okay, to err is human and we have all made typographical errors. However, in proceeding further into the story presented I...

How many of you use the "Hub Hopper" and how often?Do you leave comments, vote in polls, rate up or down, follow, and post fan mail while Hub Hopping?

Is it good or bad that hubs are rated by other hubbers? In the account page, you find a sign up says "Help us hop some hubs". Do you think this is really helpful?
