What are some good amatuer literary sites?

Fanfiction gets stale after a while!

    I recommend the following sites:

I've been members to each of them at some point in my life, and I believe they each have something to offer those looking for new stories to read. And when you get bored of that ... you can write your own stories on these same sites. smile

If you want a site where you can check out BOOKS in general, I know a site called www.Shelfari.com, where when you sign up, you get a virtual bookshelf, and you can add books to that shelf.  Apart from that, there are SO many other things to do.  You can start book clubs with other member online, and rate and write reviews for books you read.  You can ask questions about whether or not you should read a book.  You can recommend and be recommended books.  I actually found out about two books on this site, and ended up buying and liking them.  So yeah, if you wanted a site for books, www.shelfari.com is the site for you!

I agree but you forget http://authorsden.com as well. For a small one time fee you may write or download as many articles as you want. I found that writing.com limits that and there are other prices for the articles. There is freestory.center.com, I don't know if it is still up and running. I have used fanfiction.com, and there is a site that lets you download to readers and publishers can read your stories. This is the best way to get noticed.
    http://fanfiction.com is another site.
