HubKarma is a score that reflects the degree to which you link to others' Hubs and to Topic pages in your own Hubs. Hubs that point to other relevant, high quality Hubs enhance readers' experience on HubPages and improve HubPages credibility as a trusted resource. HubKarma has a small influence on your Hubber Score and is on a 0-100 scale. The link suggestion tool makes linking to other Hubs and Topic pages easier.

exactly what VagabondE said. I would not worry about to much It does not affect author score that much.

I was using it a lot and my hubkarma reached 100 but i was taking people away from my site since they click on the word highlighted and it takes them directly to the linked site and you lose the reader so i was told if you do it, to do it closer to the bottom of the article so they can read the article that you wrote first. I think that system is a good concept because its nice to link for others but they haven't set it up in the best way which would be a list of hubber links at the bottom of your page and not linked to a word, so you can have the name of the article and what the articles are about and the reader can decide if they want to go there or not. So i'm waiting and hoping they change it to benefit everyone.

Thanks Lifeallstart1, for your information.  I hadn't realized this.  Because I'm right into chatting this way with others, my Hubkarma score is way up.  Didn't realize it also had a down side.  We do write to have our Hubs read, and to have someone whisked away by an attractive link to another site might not be so good after all.

    Thanks again.
