Where is your favorite "unusual" place to write?

I sometimes take the laptop with me when I go to the state parks and other natural settings I find peaceful and do "free writing" to get new ideas flowing  - what about you?

My favorite "unusual" place to write is standing up in the kitchen while enjoying a coffee.

I like to take my lap top to a cafe or the library. I get shoulder pain if I write sitting on the couch over a coffee table, which I tend to do if I'm at home.

I work for a ery fast paced corporation and believe it or not my unusual place to write is at my desk 3 feet away from my boss. The noise of the technicians and the machinery just seems to help me think. When I sit in silence and try to write nothing comes to mind. Awkward but true!! Great question!

Love writing by water which is good as we are camped by a lake at Kununurra for a while on our travels around Australia !

Inside a crowded mall. When i was in high school i used to spend my lone time reading and writing in a mall near us. Seeing different kinds of people gives me inspiration what to write smile

Flat on my back while lounging on my living room sofa.  With my laptop balanced on my lap.  When I get into my writing, I don't leave the house.  If I do leave the house, it's only to check my mail or water the plants in the front yard.  My neighbors are sick of seeing me in my bathrobe.

My favourite place to write is in bed on a Sunday morning with my laptop and a coffee. Everyone is still asleep and I can hear the birds sing and the sun coming through the windows.

I like writing on the landing of the steps in our house. It's a great little niche plus I have all my journals on a book shelf there.
I get inspired by what I wrote in the past.
More than that it feels as if I can shut the world out!
