Depends on length of the book as well as how interesting it is and how much free time I have. I have read 20 books in one month before and sometimes I can go three months without reading anything. On average however I usually read about 3 - 4/month.
I read at least 2 books a week, probably 10 in a typical month. If I am previewing fiction as a librarian, I sometimes do a book a day for a while--so some months get up to 14 or 15. They vary in length, and some of the nonfiction books may get a chapter or two skipped.
I usually manage to find the time to read a book a week. I love to read and I love to write and oftentimes my reading gets pushed to the bottom of my todo list
You really expect us to be able to answer a question like that? Ha Ha. I know for myself (and probably many others) there are too many factors: I may have 4 or 5 going at one time and finish almost within a day or two or each other. My moods change, and a book that had me enthralled yesterday turns me off today and I won't touch it again until another yr or so and read it all in one night! Horrors! I have at times tries to keep track of what I read, but impossible---guess: 30 days in most mos; 31 in some and some leap years:------ probably around 28 a month ??? Then again, I may not touch a book for months and months because I'm WRITING---even if you don't see if here!
I also have several books started and have gone years before picking it up to finish it. I always find it strange how a book that was completely boring and I couldn't get through is now the fastest read a few months or years later!
Michelle, I'm so glad to know somebody else has that strange "can't stand" to "can't put down" thing with books!
At least four during the college semester. When school is not in session, it is about 8 books a month.
What a great question. It is a must for writers to read...if we don't how can we figure out what is out there?
I like to think I read ten books a month, but it could be more or less depending on my writing duties. I think the important part about this question is that if your answer is none--why are you here?
Reading is the door to understanding...more you read...the more you understand. I wish my answer was 100 books a month, but I do read a great many blurbs on HubPages, Facebook, Twitter, etc...so maybe I read enough words over a month to amount to 100 books...lol.
From the time I have joined book club I try to read two or three books a month but I am not always successful at that:) Love reading books, but only time left to do so is just few hours I fell asleep, if I am not writing...like many other hubbers said, we are all writers after all....
I would say I read about two or three books a month on average right now. A lot of how much I read depends on how long the book is, and what's going with life that month. I definitely try to read as much as possible though.

Reading books as a hobby, does it still exist?I see the empty book shops. Libraries have become a place where people can sleep peacefully. When I talk about books with friends they are clueless. Some say they don't have time to do. Some say it is for people who are jobless. I'm just wondering whether...
