When is the best time of day for you and your writing?
Does your writing come most in the morning or evening? What is the setting that is most conducive to writing in your experience?
I do most of my Hubbing late at night. I may write some 'scratch' notes to work from on paper during the day but most of the time, I don't sit down to actually write the Hub till late evening when my kids are in bed and I finally am able to tune everything else out and concentrate....
The best time is when inspiration strikes. That comes at all times of day and night. I keep a pen on me at all times. Good question.
I have some serious ADD but, for some reason, I always think and work better from midnight to five Am. I don't know why. I will, like Mr Cat over there, work on stuff on and off during the day, but most of my real writing is done very late at night.
It differs depending on my daily schedule. But I normally write better and more in the afternoons, after I've woken up a bit.
There is no best time or worse time for me. The best I can say is that when I get an Idea, I need to get it down within 24 hours. If other things are occupying my mind, then writing gets pushed to the back. I have writen hubs at 7 a.m. and at midnight. It is the idea and not the time of day that makes the difference for me.
I usually do my best writing after a long day at work, however I don't have any control when creativity strikes. Keep on hubbing
This even proves why you are an excellent gifted writer! You even have ideas running thur your head when you are dog tired as we used to call in in TN..In Indinaa its exhausted!! either way you have it!!!Go with it accomplish let the creativity flow!
I don't really have a specific time, it's whenever I feel like it but I write the best things when I am about to sleep. I like the nights and quiet. I don't listening to anything when I write because my head is noisy enough.
I write best when alone , maybe a little soft easy listening music . I have to write down specific lines during the day wherever I am or record them . The early morning is best for me ! Often I work with visions in my head or happenings I remember ! Man......do I hate being distracted !
I tend to write better whenever the mood really strikes me. Sometimes that's at 7 or 8 in the morning and sometimes it's at 7 or 8 in the evening. It's usually a bit more of a struggle during the afternoon for some reason and I'm not someone who can write while listening to music or watching TV - I get too distracted. Good question.
I'm much better in the early morning, usually between 6-9. My mind isn't cluttered by daily demands, and the world is a quieter place, which is important for me. I don't listen to music or any other distraction. I prefer a place, which I'm fortunate to have, that allows me to relax and simply take what's there. Creativity is a mystery and the urge can appear at any time. That's why I always carry a pen and notebook with me. Sure, I've gotten out of bed at 2:00 am to develop an idea, but the mornings work better for me.
Almost any time of day that I listen to music is when it hits.I sometimes am up later than I want to be because if I get an idea I have to do it right then, or it will usually leave....Thank you for your answer I will be reading your Hubs too...

What is your favorite time of day or night to write? Is there a certain time of day when the words flow better for you? Mine is usually sunrise or sunset or really late at night.

I don't just mean hubpages, though that counts, too. I mean when you feel that creative urge and you want to sit down and let the language flow until something beautiful comes out, whether it's a short story, a bit of a novel, a poem or, yes, a hub.

What time of the day do you do your best writing and where?

How much time do you commit to writing and is that daily or weekly? What time of day do you write? Is it in the early morning before you go to work (if you have a day job), during the day, or late at night? Lastly, outside of writing being a passion, who or what encourages you to do so?

So, evidently this was booted off the questions, and thus I repeat it here: does anyone else get up in the middle of the night to write?
