What were the most contentious(to others that is) hubs you have written that have gotten
the most vitriolic, venomous, and visceral reactions, even commentaries?
How My Same Sex Marriage Affects Yours.
Touchy topic, and the commenters were trying to set their own agenda - really strongly felt that my marriage was an affront to theirs, and then continued on about the need for two genders - would not listen. Though I guess he could say the same about my comments - but it had missed the point - my marriage does not affect anyone but those in it.
Same hub, different commenter - slightly different theory, but plain told me my marriage was pretty much second rate.
Fun times! Lucky most of us have a thick skin!
None of my hub have gotten such a reaction. However, the one I wrote about my visit to the Meteora Monasteries during my tour of Europe in 1982 offended a reader. It was the low point of the tour, so I inadvertently gave a less than flattering description. I hope nobody who reads it judges the place by my experience there - I'd gladly go back in a heartbeat! (Though I would still pass on that restaurant.)
Security Tips for Your Family, Home, Business and Community - people reacted with horror at the suggestion that owning a gun was a safety measure, though to be honest, it is all that equalizes the situation between a small woman and a big burly attacker.
“How to Make a Social Justice Warrior” by William Shetterly - a Review - I'm a conservative who reviewed a book by a communist, and found some aspects to agree with. Received hate messages from the right for agreeing with the guy on anything, hate from the left for critiquing some of the author's view, and an appreciative blog from the author who was thrilled someone gave it a positive review, much less someone who disagreed with him politically on so many other topics

Why do poems even though well written have a low hub score?Poems are not really lengthy and most poems carry less than 1250 words. Why don't poems have a different rating than a regular article?

Usually when I publish a new Hub I find that Google picks it up within 24hours. I've even seen it happen it in less than 2 hours on an odd occasion. This past week though I have published 5 Hubs. Each one has taken at least 3 days to get found by Google, two of them still have not...
