Brittany
I'm sorry to hear about your husband's car accident.
I am praying for you both and hope he doesn't have any permanent damage.
I'm so happy that you are taking the leap with a picture book for children.
That is exciting news!
Congratulations & goodluck with this journey.
It is possible, I suppose, to have autism and not be aware of it fully.
I hope the new methods you are trying work out for you.
In your poetry, "A Poem Describing Experimentation Through Atypical Behavior" you show us what it feels like for one to suffer with Autism.
The yearning one feels inside wanting others to really know them.
The fear one carries daily, even with the smallest task.
Being sensitive to sound and light.
Pretending when around others fearing they might see the real person hiding inside and judge him unfairly.
I've often sensed that people who have Autism seem a bit slow, but your poem has shown me that they are probably just masking their abilities.
They are simply trying to hide who they really are...fearful I might see the real person.
This is a great article & poem.
