    Hello Farah!
I enjoyed your beautifully expressed Blitz poem. So good to associate it with the Falgun month. It’s the same month in India too. I loved the weaving of words, according to the rules of the Blitz style.
Excellent and creative. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much, dear Ms. Chitrangada Sharan, for sharing the poem. I am delighted to know you liked it, especially since this was my first attempt at writing a Blitz. I am also glad that you could relate to Falgun. Do you follow a dress code to celebrate Basant by the way? It's yellow mustard or orangish saree here and women will wear flower tiaras and visit fairs or just go and meet outside. This hasn’t been the case in the last 2 years though due to COVID. Anyway, wishing you a very happy and blessed spring and thanks for sharing the poem once again.

Thank you Farah, for your good wishes for the spring season.
So good to know about the way, Basant is celebrated in your country.
Yes, the colour of the season is yellow. We do wear clothes(sarees or other dresses) of yellow colour, rather mustard yellow.
The marigolds bloom in abundance during this time, and it’s used for decorations, for garlands, and for worshiping rituals. In fact, Maagh Panchami/ Basant Panchami is observed as the beginning of the Spring or Basant.
We also have Spring festivals or the Vasantotsav/ Basant mela.
Thank you and have a blessed day.

Thank you so much, dear Ms.Vidya! I am happy to know that you liked it. By the way, are you from Kolkata by any chance? You spelt phalgun exactly the way it should be pronounced in Bangla. Anyway, my blessings and best wishes to you.

Dear Farah, sorry I am not from Kolkata. I am from Karnataka. But I love everything about Bengal. The beautiful language, rich literature, Tagore Sangeet and Bangla cuisine. Hope to visit there sometime. I must have spelt it automatically. Love and blessings to you.
