i love this piece.  I know you wrote it a while back, but it is adorable.  The patient telling the doctor.... I keep hearing that song in my head.

This is humorously serious! What's good is that the patient diagnoses himself.

Well, John poets are not exactly fools, I would say. I would say they view the world differently and understand it in a way normal mortals fail to interpret. I loved the humor here; of course, the underlying satire was not lost on me. Thanks for sharing

THanks, Brenda, for sharing John's work.

Thank you Ravi, I appreciate your comment. Yes, I must admit to a touch of satire in this piece. I am certain that poets do view the world differently from your average mortal.

A wonderful piece, Brenda. I missed it perhaps.

John, I enjoyed your oldie as my goldie! The humor made me smile. Every man indeed has a poet inside. Though all can't write poetry.

      Hello John,
Good that this thread appeared on my feed. I have enjoyed it earlier, and enjoyed reading it once again. Truly brings out the sentiments of a creative writer.
It was nice to read the names of fellow writer friends in the comments. Most of them are not active now, and some of them have even left this World.
Thank you for sharing this Brenda.

Thank you for rereading this, Chitrangada. Yes, when an old article is shared that still has comments attached it is good to read through them as they often bring back memories of our old friends and colleagues.
