This is a wonderful article/poem from Janis in response to the word prompt “beginnings.”

Janis, I loved the comparison of a child learning to ride a bike the first time without trainer wheels as a new beginning. Great poem.

Wonderful Janis. A bicycle is the first vehicle any child learns, and it is often a ride full of struggle, disappointments and, of course, some sweet little victories to be cherished. You have beautifully captured that first beginning for a child through your words. This a great response to Brenda's prompt.

Thanks, John, for sharing Janis's work.

In your poem, Poetic New Beginnings
"Begin Again" you capture that moment when a child learns to ride a bicycle.

Amazingly, if he falls...he gets up and tries again.

I suppose this is truly a stepping stone to what we face in life.

Your first thought was a great one.

We learn at a young age to keep trying until we succeed.

The video you shared is very inspirational.

    Great write.

I posted a link in the Word Prompt article.

    Hello Janis!
A thoughtful response to the word prompt, Beginning!
I agree with you, that to learn cycling by a child, and managing to do so independently, is perhaps the beginning of a successful life ahead!
Well expressed and well thought of poem-- Nice response to the word prompt!
    Thank you for sharing!

What a terrific response to Brenda's prompt of "beginnings."  Learning how to ride a bike is certainly a major accomplishment in life.  Comparing it to life in general with its wins and losses and moving forward is brilliant!  Thanks John for sharing Janis's work with us.
