Genna, I read your poem mentally forming a picture of the whole scenery. It is a lovely moment to witness such glories of nature. You have been very lucky.

John, thanks for sharing the link to the poem so that I can comment.

One more thing I want to mention is that sometimes it becomes difficult to know whether a post reached the end point while scrolling down articles on HP. So, the disclaimer acts as a confirmation to this effect.

Lovely image, and a reminder to cherish the NOW.

Thank you, John, for this thread and your comments.  It was very thoughtful.  And thank you, Chitrangada, Venkatrachari and Carolyn for your comments.

I have always loved nature and have been a long-time environmental advocate.  We are an integral part of nature.  I think if we know and sense this and do not intend it any harm or destruction, as Daniel said to me on that day, “The deer picked up on that vibe which is why he didn’t run.”

It worries me that too much of humanity has disassociated itself from the beauty and gifts nature provides, and that of our own survival.  Hence, the metaphor in the words in the poem, “before the fall.”  As Carolyn said, “reminder to cherish the NOW,” or there won’t be a tomorrow.

By the way, Venkat, you brought up an interesting point.  I have been wondering with the Disclaimer field is for and how it is used.  How do we use this as it relates to any of our publications?  Thank you.

You are welcome, Genna. The Disclaimer serves one wonderful use. It signals the readers that they reached the last point of their post.

Thank you, Venka, for sharing this helpful info.  I am still a bit of a neophyte when it comes to understanding the new and forever changing rules of the road here at HP.
