hi, who are best hubbers to check out for poetry and can you recommend which hubs I should read to get an education into this subject that I know very little about.-thanks
There are a few here who restrict themselves to poetry as a form of expression but you might be surprised at who actually writes poetry here who usually avoid doing so. I have a few contacts here who do both or either.
I would recommend alternate poet, cagsil, and um mine of course really their are many quality poem hubbers out there..not saying I'm one of them.I just like doing it
While there are many good poets on hubpages, I like so many and wish I could mention them all. However to learn, here are some poets who have a very good style and by reading their works it will help you learn to write good poetry.
Kimh039 (A very nice use of meter and compact metaphor) Blake4D (Good free form a lot of metaphor) Awful Poet (Very deep meaning and good free form) Joy56 (Very good pictures painted with words) Alternate Poet (Very good structural poetry and good methodology) Surfeitt (Very good knowledge of poetry and a very good person to learn) Money Lady (Good poetry for children) Kflippen (Very nice meter and classical flow) Silentreed (Paints very well with words) Kavita Trivedi (Nice use of metaphor) Sab Oh (Very good haiku)
I guess if I ever get in the mood to try my wings in another pond other then my occasional metamorphic attempts that I am told have been successful I should aspire to make it on your list lol. The problem I have is that I don't have a favorite form but usually can fit my turn of phrase to fit whatever format someone challenges me to write in if I am familiar with that form.
I've only posted one on my poems her on HP.. most of mine works of art are of the limerick variety, and deal with the life experiences of folks from Nantucket
Hi Joy: If you are really into poetry, I have one, four chapters long. I'd like your opinion. It's heavy but takes you from the earths beginning, the appearance of first life, to the extinction of the most successful life forms ever to inhabited the earth, i.e. the dinosaur, rebirth and to the evolution of man and his final day. Pls, if you decide to wade into it, let me know what you think. I thank you if you do.
There is great poetry even in some informative hubs, poetry to me, is anyone giving great meaning to their writing. And there are too many to mention.....

Has anyone noticed the apprenticeship program tab on hubpages, as well as the associated article about the program. There is an article that speaks all about this program and what it involves. It does sound very similar, but a more intense scenario of the 30 hubs in 30 days challenge. But it does...
Here's my thinking, we're hopefully increasing others traffic by supporting another Hubbers Hub.And may it continue for everyone. However I find myself receiving my favorite Hubbers newest publish Hub 6:30am sharp and I begin to read.More often than not, I skip right by that Hubbers profile, and...
I was thinking that the hub hopping tool is great and all, but it doesn't really address hubs that are older and have slipped through the cracks for months and even years.I was thinking that we could have an adopt a topic program. For example, I've been writing a lot of hubs on Nepal and have looked...
