How do you like to start your day?

If I had my way, I'd have light curtains over my windows to let the light in to help me wake up at the crack of dawn. I enjoy staying in bed with my laptop on my lap and writing, or perhaps getting dressed quickly and darting out to a coffee shop to do some writing.
I am freshest when I first wake up, most productive and ready to take on the day within the first 7 hours of being awake, but I definitely need the dew to still be on the ground.

I started my day by doing some exercises. I brushed my teeth. Then I ate my breakfast. I organized the house. Finally, I get ready for work.

Sounds like you have a busy morning before work! I enjoy getting up extra early so I can do those things, but I have such a hard time in the winter!

I wake up at 6:00 am, have a bath and walk to the morning prayer. In my way back I buy my breakfast and once home I open my laptop.

I enjoy meditating for 20 minutes, then going running for an hour or so before coming home to get ready for the rest of the day.

I am a morning person so I usually get up, and head right to the shower then dress and head to my desk to write.

I"m the opposite. If I have a shower before I write then I get distracted and it's game over for writing for the morning.

Yawning, stretching my arms, opening my eyes and getting dressed. (In the spring/summer I listen to birds wake me.) Then having a nice breakfast. After breakfast make my coffee and sit down to I write.

I love listening to the birds wake me. I can't wait until they start coming out. Though recently the coyotes have been waking me at night...I don't think that counts though

I have only had one bird at my house. I hear a woodpecker tapping on the side. Oh yeah for a minute there was a sparrow landed on the deck railing all fluffed up. We have been hit two or three times with an Arctic Blast - brrr.

I love waking up without an alarm. When my body is ready, it wakes...love the days I get to do that. I start my coffee brewing and greet my children as they wake...nothing like the good morning hugs smile I make and have breakfast with my family. No rush. No hurry. Just let the morning unfold. That's how I like to start my day.

I love the mornings and am definitely a morning person. I wake up around 6:30 every morning because this New Year I promised myself that I would get back into shape and taking a jog at this time helps me to not only get the exercise I need but also helps it be more discreet as I am not the fittest person and am a bit insecure.

I"m a morning person too. I definitely get the most done in the morning, and feel the best soon after I wake, should I get to do what I want when I wake, that is

I prefer starting it with my husband leaping on top of me and making love like there's no tomorrow. But when this doesn't happen, having a cup of hazelnut flavored coffee  and a cigarette is a good second choice.

My granny used to have an electric kettle hooked up to an alarm clock so she could have tea in bed. It sat on her night stand. I thought it was pretty brilliant smile
