    Send the grandkids home!
Absolutely refuse to allow anyone to 'push your buttons.'
And when she gives you "The Look", drop whatever you are doing and kiss her on the mouth before she can open it.

Peace starts within your soul body and mind.  It is a wonderful  goal to want to experience it within your own home and commuity too.  There are some people who cannot and will not settle for peace just "because". I find it difficult and unhealthy to live around people who are never content.

When I read this question I was thinking atmosphere....I light scented candles and have low lights all around and behind things. Low lighting comforts me.

I make sure our home is clean and uncluttered. That eases the mind. We never allow anything violent on television or on the internet. We never quarrel but talk out issues and problems. We always tell one another "I love you" throughout wach day. With love, peace abounds.

We rarely watch TV and listen to the radio once in awhile.  Time is spent reading, creating art, and gardening. Having less stuff around the house helps to keep things simple too.

I have also learned that "electronics" can be quite draining and unsettling.  I can relate to not turning the tv on as much as before.

I am in total agreement with the comments about electronics particularly the tv. I do not like watching it too much myself and it just adds another level to the noise that I could do without.

Play meditation music. Burn good incense. Light candles. Chant. Meditate. Explore higher levels of consciousness. Detach from thoughts. Be silent.

Share you love with those around you and let the TV turned off!

    Listen to soothing music.

Peace comes when there is happiness in the house and happiness comes when there is understanding between the members in the home.. Thus a house can become a home when there is love and oneness among all in the home.. This leads to Home Peace Home

That peace must start with you. You got to learn to control you so that you don't cause disruption. But as for me, I just do as she says and realize somebody needs me and counts on me to do certain things that nobody else can....wink

Peace comes from within. To create a sense of peace in a home, there must be
standards of what will be tolerated and what will not be tolerated, such as unnecessary drama and friction. Usually when respect of each other is implemented into the home and with the rearing of children there is peace in the home.

We have to lead by example so as not confuse each other with double standards.
If we learn to respect and truly care for each other, peace will come.

I am a firm believer that things we don't want can be brought into our home through the influence of things and people.  I do not allow certain things to be brought into my home....do not allow certain programs to be observed in my home. And, most importantly....do not allow God's name to be taken in vain in my home. If one likes a lot of drama....they will not be comfortable in my home. My home is my refuge away from the every day encounters of life....it's peace is my joy!

Pray to god every day, go to temple, be at peace with people around you, your family and neighbours. Try not to fight with others. Listening to songs of the almighty is also good.

Be happy for and proud of your loved one if they are successful at something, no matter how big or small.
Return a good deed with praise and another good deed

After the sun goes down, I light a candle, burn some coconut incense and play Phineas Newborn Jr. music. I enter another realm of consciousness.

you can burn sage, go from the room closest to the front door clockwise paying special attention to the corners of the rooms. Ending with the back door. This brings in the positive and gets rid of the negative.
Your home is will Cleaned and you will feel a difference in the atomsphere. Finish the day by lighting a white candle.

May your house be in harmony
