I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get spit up smell out of wall to wall carpet the type of formula is elacare jr vanilla flaver without using strong are harsh chemicals and do u think a carpet steamer will make it worse?
I imagine using a carpet steamer will make the smell stronger at least short term and it might die down to it's current level later. Your best bet would be to pull up the carpet, padding, and even the plywood beneath if these items appear to be stained in any areas or are actually giving off the odor. Whatever is stained or smelly must be replaced. Lots of odors can go WELL below the carpet and padding. Good luck.
